Besides he was probably married when he was 20. He only looks old... is he that old in the drama? They were still letting slip about his exam results and he doesn't sound as if he is over 30 compared to a 18 year old.

She has nice clothes. She smiles. She swirles her hand for her martial arts. She falls down a lot and looses consciousness a lot. She has nice shoulders.

Is it the character or the actress? Can you recommend another drama she is in where she is more animated?

I am so not invested that I am unsure if a SE will upset me. She can't live in the mortal world because she has this do-gooder persona and would run into trouble anyway.

The CGI and fake trees are so obvious by now its laughable. Has Allen Ren reached this stage where he has to accept just average budget dramas?

I am not even violently upset. I am just apathetic. I have watched to episode 27 by now so its not as if I didn’t give it a good go. At the rate everyone is dying I just need to come back at ep 39 to see who has died. Then see- since he is the last Demon something whether there are others. I don’t care about the cultivation and the immortal clans. In fact I don't even care about the humans in this fictional world.

Crikey. I was just ruminating. It looks as if I made my decision. Can someone point the way to a HE Allen Ren drama for me please? Not the Bai Lu one- I've rewatched that about 10 times. So I really do like the actor.

Er the issue is resolved in ep 14. In a bad way.

I really need to stop watching til more episodes airs. The trailers for ep 13 and 14 was quite anxiety inducing.

This drama is good. I wished I had caught it when it was completed. If anyone hasn't started; don't. This has been one of the better historical drama I've watched all year. The main leads and the whole cast can act, the writing is pretty good, the costumes are really nice, the directing is smooth with no choppy scenes... I really think you guys should wait till its completed.

This drama puts me in a good mood. I liked episode 11 and chuckled at his poor befuddled assistant. He doesn’t know if the Master is coming or going. In fact both Ye and Chen's bodyguards or assistant all deserve some silver taels as rewards.

He is kind of swoony in that drama. I finished watching that drama. The FL can't act. I watched her in 4 dramas.

Oh I am still talking about the 2ML. The male lead ticks all the boxes. Correct age. Correct age in comparison to FL. Tall. Has broad shoulders thank God. Clever but not too arrogant. Has enough political power vs clawing his way up, thankfully is a noble because it sucks being a commoner/poor scholar/ concubines' or criminal's son, not adopted because writers are cruel when writing these plots, can fight, the fight choreography is decent, not married or have concubines already.... so yeah he fits the ML role. The actor can act, looks like a man and not slathered with foundation and shiny lipstick. He also seems to have chemistry with the FL. The FL has chemistry with everyone. I count 6 guys now; this includes the brother. You have no idea how thankful I am she can act so I can enjoy this drama.

There has been worse 2ML however he is pretty "boring" for a 2ML.

Come on this is a Ming Dynasty drama. This is not a scholar vs young girl romance. Its bloods, guts and court politics. His bodyguard is also petite. I can excuse a male lead if his bodyguard actually looks as if they can defend their Master.

Hah! I finally saw the main trailer. Well, well, well so that's how the romance goes. Its angsty as all heck isn't it?

That makes it more exciting since I actually am enjoying this drama. The actress is playing the character well.

I also saw the trailer for ep 11 and 12. Thankfully Ye Xian is getting less screen time. I can't wait for the romance to start.

I actually wonder when they fall in the courtyard pools. Its so deep. How can it be so deep physically?

Then I wonder about the cleanliness of the canal waters instead.

Of course no 15 year old in the Ming Dynasty will know how to swim.

A son of a criminal hardly ever gets a supportive in law family. We will see. They made him a main character. He may not even marry her.

I really don't have 2ML Sydrome so Ye Xian is getting on my nerves. That's because he is not even a viable contender. He is immature, no martial art skills, no political power although he is manipulative, abuses his power, snobby, immature because he is young, no supportive parent, doesn't even look as if he is dependable, the plot is obviously pushing his heart ailment, I don’t see how a weak heart is related to riding skills unless he faints and what else do you guys need?

So its been 2 days and 4 episodes of him. I already barely tolerate this character as it is without having to see him all the time.

HOWEVER before it gets too angsty... I am contemplating if I should just stop and wait for ep 20 to air. I cannot find the airing schedule but this 2 episodes daily schedule is killing me. It doesn’t come out immediately because its MangoTV. Its frustrating. I can't efen work out when the episodes appear online.

I believe if a drama is that addictive its better to draw back and observe. The drama is not perfect but right at this time, right at this moment...it hits all spots. The FL is likeable, the ML is not a sap or an a**hole.

Let me just say this, Shin Soon Rok left me shocked speechless with the mild sounding voice but shooting through everything with a one track mind.

That man has got guts. Yup... he got upgraded to a man. That parent scene was flawlessly done.

Shin Soon Rok- I do feel that you’re horrendously shortchanged that your romantic scenes were cut but geez your Naughty Cell was strong.

I don't really rely on the subs for this series. I had to actually listen. They don't do character's name translations when it appears on screen, the English titles are misleading, the meaning is lost. So yeah I really don't think the English subs are great. I am listening a lot but then luckily both my Mandarin and Korean have improved a lot since the viki days. I also just spent a few weeks in SK and also a Mandarin speaking country.
