Ok I am still on episode 1. Is Wang Zi Yi an indoor non- athletic person when he's not acting? That is one soft, zero evidence of gym work hand. Zilch musculature.

I didn't know about this drama until S2 started. I just started ep 1 and since I like Wang Zi Qi decided to give this a go. Hope its worth it since I dropped 1 Kdrama and delayed starting 2 KD for this.

All 12 episodes are out. Just watch it. You might as well. Its aesthetically beautiful to me and I finished it. However it has only about 5 for rewatch value. So finish it because at least there was plot development.

I finished it. Thankfully it was released at once otherwise I would have dropped it.

Don't worry people who think I gave it a low rating; I gave it a higher rating because I could marathoned it.

The leads were visually beautiful and had chemistry. The kisses were good.

The cinematography was great. The lighting was very nice. The aesthetics were pleasing.

There were multiple moments I smiled and chuckled because of the humour.

The Japanese actor was beautiful. He literally was vs being just handsome.

Why did I comment because after all its one of the better
Hong sisters dramas? That is
because of the plot? The Hong
sisters dramas tend to be
eccentric half the time.

So there is a theme usually right in their dramas. So this is not a spoiler per se. What was the plot point for the back story? Was the plot for this drama communication because the backstory made no sense? It really didn't.

That dropped the rewatch value for this drama to be so low. It was a waste of the male character to fall the female lead. And oh yeah- the 2nd couple and the older brother made zero sense or rather could be written out of the story. They didn't add anything to the drama. They literally didn't. Her ex made more sense.

Wow. These 12 episodes.... made me wonder why they wrote this drama. It was only watchable because it dropped all 12 episodes. KSH's character was so restrained. GYJ acting was the saving grace why I even was interested in CMH.

What a drama. I am lucky I only spent 3 days on this. Whew.

The definition of PTSD is that it has to occur again. Young ' uns are precious. They like to be coddled. I am management. So I leave it to the education team. I have done enough hot debriefs to not make more trouble for myself. Otherwise one ends up being blamed if you don't do it right. Honest facts. I work in a high stress environment where people do and can break down fairly regularly. Let's just say that it makes the news.

Its never happened before or rather I haven't watched on Netflix for a long time. I was so confused I had to stop.

I keep forgetting Netflix does dubbing. I use Netflix because I got lazy and don't download the raw episodes these days.

Lol. Oh yeah I noticed it already so I had to repeat one sentence a few times because the subs were off.

It was my settings. I was set to CC. So now that its off I only hear Korean and see English subtitles without the captions. And I didn't bother with getting any Italian and Japanese subs on. I think the CC option provided the Italian and Japanese translations.

Netflix has always had inconsistent standards. I just take note of who's translating. I need access to watch Korean dramas but it doesn't bother me as much these days re the English subs. I just listen in Korean. It makes things clearer because its impossible to get raw episodes of any dramas these days. And I am too lazy to download an episode.

I am on episode 1 and watching it on Netflix. I don't usually muck around with the subtitles because I don't need the English half the time on the C or Kdramas.

The reason why I am explaining is this. What the heck is going on with the subs? Am I suppose to ignore it? This continuous- English, Italian Japanese- in brackets are doing my head in. Is it part of the story? Is my setting correct? I keep hearing Korean. Yes I happen to recognise some Japanese and spent a year learning Italian. I mean I speak other languages but that's not my point. Do I shut down all subs? Or is the ML a Korean who translates Italian and Japanese? Then what is the ( English ) that keeps flashing on the screen? Is he speaking English? I need to change my setting?

Switch off all subs and just watch? Is he a language genius or something?

I laughed at this. I have PTSD making my colleague cry because I wanted to show her something interesting fo r learning purposes. It was a bit gory but she couldn't take it. I had no issues with it till this day but she freaked me out so much I dare not show anything interesting in a confronting sort of way.

Yeah it was " I am woman and I want you. "😂😂😂😂

For those criticising the drama; it did its job for me. I was happy watching it at night. The costumes were so well designed yet dignified. I was actually marvelling at the Duke's mansion's entrance. That was huge.

😆😆😆 the ending was showy, bombastic and literally thrown at the audience.

Was that ship and sea real? That's the most realistic looking boat and sea scene I've seen in awhile.

That steward's face at end... made me snicker a lot.

That wasn’t a bad ending scene. It has actually been a fast pacing 36 episode drama.

I was fine with him being tired, dispirited, helpless but everyone seemed to have issues 😂

People I am going for being cold without the blaziers. Basic human need. Shelter and warmth. Then we can indulge in depression. You guys haven't seen people come in with prolonged hypothermia have you? Hours and overnight. Sometimes days. The body shuts down. Well if you don't die first.

Not that a Chinese Cdrama writer would know that. This is not a medical drama.

So I am not even getting upset. The female Rongs are rugged up to the eyeballs.

Won't have time to despair and be helpless. Them windows can be broken and people break out of house arrest. I use real logic. Not drama logic.

Yeah I noticed. Unfortunately its not the first time I've seen it happened. However whatever the drama is smokin' its keeping me interested.

I happen to like the family politics and never liked palace politics. So it suits me just fine.

I haven't followed this actor previously but fns here keep mentioning that he is in 3 dramas. Back to back. I went back to check. Oct 2025 to Jan 2026.

I am heading to ep 1 Idol now. I must say this drama is still more interesting. The costumes alone for this drama has made it worth watching.

Good god. Just when I think the plot twists are winding up there is another arc.

Well. Until the plot twist came again. Honest to God, I didn't see it coming.

By the way, whatever bad mouthing we did towards the grandmother? The writers were more brutal than us. Them writers are cruel 😂😂😂😂 towards an old woman.

Edit. Its a 36 episode drama. Its kept me entertained so I am not grumbling. Unlike the many, many comments. I wanted to watch something after work. This hits the spot.

Fine, fine, fine don't let her age deceive you guys. That woman had 3 men. She didn't sound as if she was a shy person. Why is everyone attributing a benevolent personality on her just because of her age? She is obviously as manipulative, scheming, scheming, vindictive now as when she was younger. She was also arrogant as all heck obviously since she thinks she is right.
