I actually don't mind longer posts explaining a viewpoint. The problem was all the random one sentence post. It doesn't say which episode or doesn't say what caused them to see it that way.

I have a bad habit of replying to someone. So in order not to waste my time its better to stay away sometimes. I watch it at the end of my day and when the MDL's forum is lively then I am happy to read the opinions. Its the single condemning sentence. If you answer it it might be me interpreting it wrongly. If I don't answer it but there are repetitions of the same comments with no rationale it becomes irritating.

They had the marriage photo but the marriage registry clozed sp they agreed to do it another day. In one year actually but live together with the intention of marriage. Its not a fake but both sets of parents think they are married.

Rao Jing is who I want to be. LOL. Ambitious and not shy about it. Knows what she likes and heck cares what everyone thinks. Likes the finer things in life.

I do not think I can subscribe to her personal life choices with the boys but workwise wish I had the guts to tell everyone off. Ok... I do have the guts but my work is so full of tender young things and those flowers who can't stand any negative comments. I work in a big dept with 400+ staff and trying to get people to get off their butt to work drives me insane. So Rao Jing just going her own way at her own speed just makes me happy to watch her. I get sick some days of soothing ruffled feathers when all I want to say is- if you can't take the heat choose another department. You work in a high pressured area where time management and prioritizing the correct choices are important. If you want to fluff about and can't think fast and chit chat you're in the wrong area. "

I've done half of what I wanted to do today. Came here and now back to part 2 of bloody work.

I have some idea why people are irritated with the female lead but considering she is improving episode by episode I am happy. I am not reading the novel and it is never a good thing to compare against a novel anyway. Case in point- The Bridgertons on Netflix

I don't watch dramas which are below 7.5.

How many dramas are there over 8? There are not that. Go look. Which costume drama currently airing is over 8? I am probably watching them as well.

I did actually put it on hold and just watched ep 8 to the current episodes all at one go just to see if the story slows. After yesterday episode I am probably going to put it on hold until ep 25 and just watch multiple episodes so that the flow is better.

7.9 is a good rating. I am not giving it more than it is. Its definitely not an 8+ to 9 drama. Why should I rate it higher? There are dramas with lower ratings around

I have to stop coming by this forum. For future viewers this is a nice gentle drama to watch.

I don't know what the others are expecting. This looks like a normal average drama. The cast is good, the directing is not bad, the styling is not bad, the couples are not bad, the writing is not bad.

Were you guys expecting a masterpiece? I've been sieving through so many dramas this year and have had to drop so many because it was just that stupid, or cheesy or have unbearable idiotic plots.

You have a guy. And a girl. They agreed to marry got sidetracked because the registry closed so they postponed the registration but live together.

It showed them getting close. The guy has the childhood first love cliche. The girl had the ex but he didn't stay long in the picture. She got the less rich, less successful cliche.

They move together in separate trajectories in what they think is a relationship and slowly have learnt to walk together.

She was definitely passive but was also wary, not receptive, insecure in both work and her worth as a marriage partner. He was always more sure and the possessiveness has become more apparent but not to the point of obsessiveness like some comments here imply.

In the meantime each episode has been sweet. Kissing galore. Nice parents. Really nice department. He even has a supportive mentor.

I actually really like Zhao and Rao Jing. The side couples are normally kind of irritating but Rao Jing's porcupine spikes have been amusing to watch. I am attracted to her personality and I am female. They have made this successful, attractive and sexy businesswoman seem vulnerable yet strong. Its very hard to potray it without her being bitchy. The actress has made her a character I really like.

Zhao is or was your typical office a** hole who somehow is actually very nice.

Xiao Tu has grown as a character. She is also less passive and she is more open in teasing him now. She was extremely wary of him before and you could see all the insecurities.

Ji Yu Heng is also more openly affectionate now. Its also a result of her being receptive. He doesn't suport her in everything. I think its sweet he doesn't cage her in.

They enjoy spending time together. As a viewer I enjoy turning to the new episode at 2200hrs daily. It ends my evening in a good mood. Have we had any frustrating or big cliffhangers? We haven right?

Yet I keep seeing this comments about her being selfish. I don't have the time or inclination to defend what I see. I had some time this morning before I planned to be on the computer to do bloody work stuff.

Like I said- I don't focus on the what ifs. So what they are not registered? Synopsis are wrong all the time. Now that you know watch it as it is or just leave. Selfish? Find a drama with a selfless doormat of a lead and let the male lead walk all over her. Or him if its the reverse

Want a male harem? Choose another drama. Want office politics dramas? Choose another. Want the cliched bad, criminal, needy, demanding, money sucking, screaming parents? Choose another drama.

Want a scheming, clingy ex? Choose another.

At the end of the day this is a main couple who proposed and agreed to marry, who co habit and the drama shows their personal relationship developing and seeing that they work in the same department we will see future complications.

The end.

Every evening. 32 episodes.

Don't wish for the moon, the sun and the universe for Christ's sake. Just have an easy going drama. You want the perfect drama? Just find a 2nd or 3rd or 4th drama to watch then.

See you all after episode 32. I am very happy with this easy watch. This has been a very nice 16 episode drama so far and I am extremely satisfied we have the leads constantly interacting with each other.

I just watched the FL being totally useless in ep 14 and 15.

I don't even state what happened in the valley. The Fox spirit is irritating. The Mu Zan Ting character is not comedic but rather just repetitive with his attempts to save people.

The grandstanding from everyone is boring.

I can't even see any emotions beneath the super think pink on white make up on the female lead. I don't have anything better to watch so am still continuing.

Its not that great. 7.9 is about right.

Is that Only For Love 2.0 a pun for this drama? Too lazy to bother searching.

Its ok. I am not heavily invested in anything at present. I need some entertainment because I am swamped with work. I highly doubt any drama is going to capture my full attention or make me that annoyed. My full attention is trying to sound bombastic for work and I have to do a presentation.

Its in the conversation. I don't recall what the proper subs translated it as. The verbatim translation was using that phrase for his ideal type.

I am not defending her. I am asking how is she different from all those entitled drama characters elsewhere?

She is receiving more than she is giving right now. As long as the drama shows her being more giving or changing as she fully commits then its ok. Its those dramas where the females just demands to the end that drives me nuts.

That was a terrible main couple. He didn't have the charisma to carry the role and the FL was so needy, insecure and passive. I completed that drama by the way and the 2FL paired with the 2ML was fine. She was optimistic but overall not one of my favourite dramas.

Forehead and cheek kisses are used to show a protective or tenderness. The hands are also to show loving thoughts.

I am talking about passion. 2 adults. Living together. Kissing on the lips that stays ONLY on the lips.

Anyway can't really complain as the main couple has a lot of screentime.

I am actually reeling from the potential 3td couple. I avtually feel sorry for Zhao. Although my overiding concern is that this couple will die from liver failure and with their personalities I don't even wish children on this pair.

They actually have more marketing dept or rather business lingo than As Beautiful As You.

The parents are extremely nice. The work department people interesting.

There is a lot of couples screentime per episode. As someone who likes a romance drama I am extremely satisfied seeing a couple grow as a couple. Very easy watching. And boy there is a lot of kissing. I cannot believe the amount of kissing.

I am risk of sounding like a deluded fan but I don't think I am.

Is it me or does this drama have a lot of kissing? Way more than I was expecting with a 32 episode drama.

However the kissing scenes are only on the lips. And after a gadzillion angles I am wondering why does the director only do that?

There are some dramas where the leads kiss the neck or even other pull the shirt off the shoulder etc.

This is literally the lips and only the lips. I've managed to catch it only later in the might but I may have zoned out then watch it once the conversation resumes
That's how bored I've been with the kiss scenes.

Don't get me wrong, I am happy with this drama. I am very happy with how consistent the male has been with the FL
He is 100% committed and yet does not become a wimp when he is the boss.

The female lead? She sounds cautious after being burnt for being so devoted after 7 years to a jerk. She is not as self- sacrificing and looking after her own interest. I tbink that is logical after being shown that one doesn't always get the guy even if you are the good girl.

What happened in the end please to the main couple?

And oh I read the comments further down. You want those sort of dramas? Some days I do but other times I don't. I am happy watching it as it is.
