Hummmmmmm... after I read your comment, I rewatched Ep1 where group discussion was made with everyone at the table. When actor NF left room with his assistant ( I think she is Fugai π), NF stopped 2 sec and looked at SX's back and stared at her back2 sec. I wonder NF is actually NH and he already knew who SX was during the meeting. so NF=NH..... Ep1 NF and Ep40 NF both wore same sunglassesπ I am more confused π

I may agree with you. There is only ONE female lead SX, and NH/NF cannot exist in ONE demention so NF disappears from the makeup room, and NH is in modern world by going thru portal.....I think I can accept that π I wish director will explain his ending intention later π

This director and screenwriter are brilliant to make us argue and guess what was happening during the airing and they again succeeded to make us argue and guess what exactly happened at the VERY END. Director needs to explain exactly what happed at the epilogue! Who was in costume travel to modern time from portal door, and who was in the make up chair? NH?NF? That's all I want to know! Can you please explain so that I can settle my confusion????? π

If you have Intro and outro skip set up, you will miss it. Mine was set as so, and I just UNDO that function and I was able to watch the very last epilogue. Try it.

I read some blog noted that this scene was actually filmed during the summer and costume was like 5kg+ and it was super hot. He sweated a lot with scratches around his neck area from the costume. I need to praise for him and entire actors / crews for such hardworking !

Yeah, my iQIYI app also went straight to BTS and missed it but I found it at X. I wonder why iQIYI subscribers like you and I cannot see that epilogue. That modern scene made a huge difference of understanding the very end!!!
Lots of C-drama starts great and directors rush for closing and it will ruin it badly at the end, but this is one of the best ending. Brilliant screen plays and directing! I truly enjoyed this drama!
Have you seen him in 'Will Love in Spring'? The show checks the minimal makeup box and Li Xian is in it.
No, I haven't watched it. I hardly watch Modern Drama except'Meet Yourself'. It wad good. 'Will love in spring' has good score, I may try watching ! Thanks for info.
BTW, Costume drama needs some make up, but sometimes it's too much π I recently watched Allen Ren's 'The demon hunter's romance' and due to his character, it was very minimum make up. He looked so good in that drama and it was indeed great drama!

Oh someone just mentioned me that I might be mixed up two similar dramas, between Oh my emperor and The romance of tiger and rose by ZL. Anyway, OME is similar to ADWAD, similar love comedy. FL wasn't the screenwriter but she hires ancient writers after travel to ancients time! You will still enjoy it for sure. Just wanted to follow up with you.

OME is similar concept and it isn't S+ drama, but it's fun. Some found it boring but I enjoyed it. I also came to like ZL and XZ π You can find it in Youtube
