I'm left with a few of plot hole related questions :-
1. From the nun's account - Ji Yong ISN'T the child of another man ( she said it to the old chairman out of spite) which means Ji yong IS the old chairman's son....but how is this not apparent to the chairman and why did Ji Yong's mom resent and abuse him then?
2. Why did Ji Yong have to get rid of Hye Jin back then when they were dating and she was subsequently pregnant? It doesn't make sense for him to go the roundabout way of getting rid of her unless he was two timing and chose Hi Soo over Hye Jin. If its family background related, Hi Soo is an actress so no better off than Hye Jin. Hye Jin wouldnt have any issues getting through the doors of the in laws.
Maybe the writer is trying to show that Trust is a useless emotion in the grand scheme of things ( its only ever…
In a way, if the wife is blinded by her own vanity...then she kinda makes a good match with her husband who seems to be triggered by vanity as well. Two peas in a pod!
Yes, all three husbands fell into the affairs randomly. Doctor's hobby - horseback riding - has been a convenient…
Darn looks like getting a hobby doesn't pull them out of an existential crisis either. at least the one in his 50s would fall under mid life crises. The 30's husband got drawn into TLC elsewhere. I curious when did the doctor's promiscuity began..i.e at which point of his marriage.
Again, Greg Hsu doesn't 'get' the girl lol. He does have the bittersweet bf face though. Somehow I felt like this movie only had one lead - him. The girl was more like a prob and the chemistry was obviously lacking since she had moved on for most parts of the movie or just had other things going for her. With this, the theme felt less of a romance since it wasn't quite romantic and more of a 'oh well thats life' type of movie. For me, the korean version seemed more 'balanced' .
17 up, it's better. Is it in the top 10 of it's genre? No.Are other much worse dramas rated higher? Certainly.I'm…
I'm thinking there's gotta be some episodes I can skip but still get the best of this drama. Perhaps I shall jump to epi 17!
I really liked Xu Kai in the Legends. Looking back at his past roles, I think here I struggle to see him as a man playing a mentor role. He does 'lost boy', 'playful boy' with aplomb. I probably can't see him as tsundere CEO just yet either. I would have loved Bai Jue's character to be played by someone with a more authoritative presence....like Liu Xue Yi ( I think he's got a great Xianxia presence and his appearances keeps leaving me wanting more esp in LaR). In fact I think I'd have liked Tianqi to be played by Xu Kai ( yes, blasphemy I know)
I love Zhou Dong Yu's voice in this drama and I think she does justice to her role, except that her character as a leader of the four immortals seem a bit understated from what I have seen so far. I like Yang Mi's interpretation of a high goddess in her 3rd life. So bitchy lol. I feel empowered just looking at her execute her role!
Gosh I haven't seen a typical candy FL in a chinese drama in a long time
1. Owe ML money 2. Play with orphans to show kind side 3. Spend the night in island with ML 4. Clutch ML sleeve/tailcoat ends to show vulnerable side 5. Intro ML to cheap street noodles 6. Drop tears 7. Show fear of thunder 8. Gets bullied in silence
I also love a very evil 2nd FL..keeps things exciting!
All is good if he doesn't return back.Imma rate this a 5 if he is alive
It will be quite a feat for him to come back after the morgue scene. If he had been lost in a landslide with no body fund, there'd still be a likelihood of a comback....but if he came back from the morgue...the drama would probably be a fantasy horror lol.
I stopped watching at episode 24. From the comments and spoilers I gathered not much has changed since right to the last episode. I think of all Johnny Huang's co-stars...he's got the most chemistry with Timmy Xu. The tension ...haha
I just binged the first 8 episodes out and I 'm really enjoying it so far. The acting has been excellent, especially…
XS's relationship in a nutshell with Zen Rong is also very well paced and convincing. I'm wondering though with his ( Leon Zhang's) short-lived airtime why would he be placed as a lead unless X years later some lookalike will saunter by.
Hmm...the characters' personalities take a slight turn in epi 9-10. I must say the scriptwriter for the drama needs a lesson in flirting. Lei Yu Zheng's flirt lines makes the net worth of his hot body plummet. I was also blinking in disbelief at Li Qin's 'sa jiao' cries..... And then I remind myself its filmed 4 years ago so this sort of personality evolution is reminiscent of dramas back then
I'm liking this already! The leads fit their characters, its got a nice melo pining feel though the synopsis probably gives quite a lot away already. I hope it doesn't become all-over-the-place like As Long As You Love me or worse, Beautiful Reborn Flower.
Am at epi 15 and its a struggle to plod through now. I liked the first 10 + episodes actually.
I suspect its because this drama doesn't seem to have its own sense of purpose and there was recently the other masked drama - Love Like White Jade so this one ends up lacking novelty as well.
I've enjoyed Teresa li's acting in A Little Reunion and Twenty Your Life on. Her acting seems out of sorts here but I suspect thats a production team issue in terms of character interpretation and casting - she's only 21 so I doubt her creative license empowerment would have been high.
HJJ however I think is more suited for those 'almost male lead' roles but where they drama isn't centred on him like the lost tomb. He reminds me a bit of Hu Yi Tian, like they both got dragged into acting because of their faces but Hu Yi Tian landed better roles like the Handsome Siblings.
