Favorite preview is episode 22! Love how Liangyi is coaxing her cause he made her mad about something. If this is an indication of how their future relationship is like I can't wait till they are officially a couple.
ok this line- as long as i see you as my benefactor, i can never righteously make you my husband (is that some…
I don't think so because Furan in marrying QY's father came between the father and another woman. Furan, I believe, felt that by seeking refuge with the Qiu family and later marrying the father took advantage of the kindness they had shown her and her brother. Also the ML and FL however don't seem to be romantically attached to anyone else.
The emperor granting ML a marriage with lady of his choosing in episode 18 pretty much paves the way for FL once…
She does seem to be more than just a courtesan. I hope she is his mole and doesn't become another jealous woman who tries to ruin the relationship between the ml and fl.
Lol, they really think he's protecting QY because he cares for QM. I can't. When they find out it's really QY…
Yuan Lang is question QY's identity as Suyiwan and he says he has brought a former client/benefactor of Suyiwan who knows her well to meet/identify whether QY is her or not. Not sure if you saw but the preview for ep. 20 includes the scene where QY introduces herself as Suyiwan. Lol YL was so hoping to catch Liangyi in the act of taking QY out of the brothel.
i also don't like her. i realised that everyone in that household except the FL are like that
Yes, I honestly would have thought this was a transmigration drama if I didn't know that such dramas are banned in China. QY is just so different from everyone else. I can understand QinXuan's 'love'/fascination with her. Although he is equally somewhat annoying too and honestly I feel like his personality would work rather well with Qiu Min in the long run.
I'm so frustrated with Qiu Min's personality!!!! She's so passive and cowardly. Honestly, I hope the shape up in her character comes soon cause she's getting on my nerve. She's kinda like the father in her naivety and adherence to convention. But, I suppose it's there to contrast with QY.
nothing is confirmed yet. it was just a "reenactment" from what QY was thinking/accusing had happened. I do think…
I agree seems to be just a reenactment following Qiuyan's accusation that her father killed his wife. Also cause there's that scene with the father asking his mother if she killed his wife too.
I think the eunuch is sent by the emperor to ensure that nobody can dispute or question Liangyi's actions when freeing the doctor and his daughter (maybe someone would have tried to kill them while in custody or something). But it really does make me wonder whether the death of QY's stepmother has something to do with the imperial family.
QY is still immatured in dealing with her moms death. If compare to Minglan moms death or Syiyi in Sword of brocade,…
Minglan and Syiyi's personalities are very different from Quiyan. They are not feminist that seeks to strike out at the established patriarchy blatantly. The seeks to work within the confines of their status to seek justice. Furthermore, their circumstances are subtly different from Quiyan. In contrast, Quiyan doesn't care about the patriarchal conventions that should trap a women in her society. She fights these conventions head on without caution because her personality is extremely direct and not as manipulative or conniving, also she has (had :( ) the full support and love of her stepmother and her farther is rather lenient although negligent (especially compared to Minglan's father who is obsessed about his reputation and completely within the palm of his concubine's hands). She has very little patience and act rashly, which could also be because of how short the drama is (only 34 episodes, compared to Sword of brocade's 45 eps, and Minglan's 73 eps), but also can be due to her grief currently. My problem with the recent episodes is like you said, she lack maturity in her investigation of her stepmother's death. She just rushing around accusing everyone with only the slightest evidence or rumour that she hears about. It's rather annoying but I suppose it's to move the plot along faster cause of the shortness of the drama. I tend to like slow burner plot lines though so completely understand your frustrations.
Why did she bother getting mad at her sister as if she didn't stage the whole trip and fell. And all her plans…
She mad cause their sisters. Even if they have a bad relationship, she still feels that as her sister she should not have purposefully told on her. In particularly since the person her sister chose to reveal about her date is the other aunts who have it out for her and would choose the worst punishment (ie selling her off as a concubine).
I really don't want to get my hopes up too much after ep 20 especially considering the pattern with Shu Feng and Ru Feng just not working out so many times. But they are are just too adorable! <3<3<3<3<3 It's a pity that Liang Gong had to die. I'm glad that Cui Xi and Bao Qin are working together so well. I hope that the husband doesn't actually come back alive and ruin everything. The story is perfectly fine without him.
I am seriously losing patience...the next episode doesn't even have any airing schedule now...nice! So, the last…
I think the schedule is messed up because it's the last 4 episodes. The companies do this to make money on the finale. The episodes should air this Wednesday like normal, I believe.
The scene where he made his concubine repeatedly say his name, creeped me out so much!
Yes! Mine was when he went to his wife and asked her to ask the emperor for an edict to force Jiu Ling into becoming his concubine. She asked him 'can't you just let her go?' and he was like 'never' *shivers*
