Yunhe died in the volcano and reincarnated as a mermaid? if so how did she regain her memory? how can a nine-tail…
Why would the director do this?!?! Honestly this was bad editing in my opinion! Totally threw me off and there really isn't a proper explanation in the drama (only way to properly know what happens is if you know what happens in the book).
I cried so much Lin hao qing became one of my most favourite characters ever! I really like how bada*s the girls…
Lin Hao Qing deserves a big hug for being such a loving softie underneath all his ruthless schemes and mechanisms to keep Yunhe alive. Absolutely loved that he got the second chance to at least raise Yunhe with love and care (unlike what his father did). Even if he didn't end up with Yunhe :(, I still am glad that at least he didn't die in the end.
Now that the subtitles are complete, is it good, much romance, the chemistry, love triangles, happy ending?
Good to watch (there are plot holes but if your forgiving it's a good drama), lots of romance (and angst), chemistry is alright (lots of stiff kisses in my opinion) but the fl and ml are cute together, there's a one sided love triangle (Lin Hao Qing loves Ji Yunhe but she doesn't know or reciprocate) and the ending is happy (there's a bit of a time skip but all ends well for the characters).
I have a serious case of second lead syndrome from a character I used to despise to one I grew to love. - Lin…
Same! I really liked his character and empathised with his struggle to be good even under the pressure from his dad and the circumstances around him. His love for Ji Yunhe was more believable for me based on their shared history and circumstances. He understands and knows Yunhe in a way that Chang Yi doesn't until later on, which is why I found the love between Yunhe and Chang Yi to be so hard to see at the start. I found him more intriguing than Chang Yi, who honestly during part 1 is more like just a pretty face with very little contribution to the storyline other than as a damsel in distress kinda.
Whoever can change the genre tags please change Wuxia to Xianxia or at least remove Wuxia. Same with part 2! It's wrong and I tried to but couldn't so someone help. :(
i cant take how she breaks this innocent guy's heartðŸ˜can someone tell me at what episode her real intentions…
Her intentions change so it's hard to say when they're really revealed. I suppose ep. 14 is when she 'reveals' her intentions to Chang Yi. Honestly so many other people kept telling Chang Yi she's just using you but his faith in her never really broke until ep 14.
awwwh, from the trailer this show looked like it would be magnificent!for one person's error, a whole show cancelled...come…
I wouldn't say what he did was an error, more like an accident. I don't think he actually noticed or understood that significance of his photo. Like I honestly don't know the complete history of every historical building that I take a photo with, but I can understand the need to be sensitive towards memorials (ie selfie photos in Auschwitz). The shrine in the photo unfortunately is a very sore spot for not just the Chinese government but also for the people who have lost family members during wartime due to the Japanese military figures who's names are commemorated in the shrine (these military figures were also condemned as war criminals after WWII). It's also not helped by the Japanese government persistent revisionist stance on their involvement in WWII and the erasure and denial of their wartime actions, such as the massacre of Nanjing.
So I'm guessing this will never see the light of day since ZZH got blacklisted...?
Give it time. ZZH is currently being punished but I honestly don't think what he's done will completely derail his career. Just look at Xiao Zhan, he's made a come back in the recent years as the scandal around him died down.
My guess it didn't pass censorship, and now scandal with Zhang zhe han make it even more unlikely for it to air…
He won the claims of defamation but the problem still remains that the scandal surrounding his name hasn't dissipated and the industry has been harshly cutting ties with him. It's like he's in this punishment phase, but he hasn't done anything that I don't think he'll not be able to come back from.
Xiao Zhan has slowly made a recovery so I wouldn't count Zhang Zhe Han out of running completely. These things take time however, so definitely don't expect dramas with him to be airing anytime soon unfortunately. :(
What I love about this drama is that the FL is not a damsel in distress and both leads have equal status. She’s…
The Long Ballad, Jun Jiu Ling, Legend of the Condor Heroes (A classic but there are many versions. The 2017 version is the most faithful to the book. It's also Wuxia.), The Blooms at Ruyi Pavilion, Sleepless Princess, A Girl Like Me, The Story of Minglan, The Moon Brightens For You, Legend of Fei - haven't watched the last two but these are all historical dramas with strong independent FLs (to varying degrees of course). Most cdramas tend to make the FL into damsel in distresses unfortunately, but we have gotten some better characters in recent times thankfully. Check them out and hopefully you'll find something you like. There are a few other's that I can think of but not sure if you like or want to watch harem dramas or modern dramas.
They really should have kept with the novel for the scene where BFX goes against the cannons. She was literally…
True but I'm only on ep 25 and already the decrease in fights scenes for the fl is just disappointing. I wish they had more Wuxia fight scenes. I just loved how the drama opened so strong with the fl's fight against the other martial arts fighter and the whole Ten Temple Devils arc was such fun to watch.

Oh wow that is really different. I'm gonna have to look at the book as a completely different story then. So excited! I'm actually looking forward to a grey HFX! I find him a bit too perfect and upright for someone who is suppose to be cunning and ruthless in the drama sometimes. Sounds like BFX's nickname of 'Black fox' fits more in line with the book HFX. YWY being a saint sounds just bizarre since he's the big bad in the drama.
Feels like the tag Wuxia doesn't really fit this drama.
