Lol, i think the way he was in the drama... he might go for older ladies 🤣🤣That man was never interested…
Nah I mean I personality would've loved that but I get the impression that BL fans want a 1:1 adaptation of the source material. If the only option is censorship or glorification of huge age gap romance between a 40 years old dude and a high school student then I'd still choose the censorship.
You're talking as if they will address the problematic stuff if this was a full blown BL, but I highly doubt that when the last Korean BL I tried to watch ends up romanticizes a pseudo incest relationship

I agree only if the problematic elements are clearly shown as a bad thing. If that's the case then I am against the censorship. For example if you've seen a movie called Mysterious Skin, it's super fucked up but it clearly shows grooming in a bad light and it educates people about statuary r*pe. I'm okay with such movie existing. Unfortunately the original novel for this drama doesn't seem to address the age difference and instead romanticizes it. In case like this I'm in favor of censorship

Two wrongs don't make a right. Just because there's many pedo-ish straight relationships in media doesn't make the gay ones okay. Both are bad. I and a lot of comic fans despise The Killing Joke animated movie for making Batman and Batgirl hooking up. I know you want to deny it so bad but some people prefer the censorship because we don't like creepy relationships in general not just the gay ones. I would be happy when media stops romanticing weird pedophilic straight relationships.
You're worried about creepy age gaps or elements in media? Ban/censor Disney princess movies. The princes were…
Disney sucks in general not only cause of that so yeah I'm always pirating their shit. I thought you weirdos who defend depiction of pedo relationships like their life depended on it are only in anime community. I guess not
Damn so people who answered my question a few weeks back did not even read the novel huh. Saying it's not creepy age gap romance and shit lol I'm glad they censor this. I also hope drama Yiheon-now-Deukpal stays single his whole life. I trust him to not pulling a Leonardo DiCaprio
Did korean dramas get worse since netflix started giving them money? Are they out to destroy the k-boom/global…
Netflix shows are always cheap unless it's from big IPs like Stranger Things, One Piece or famous superhero stuff like The Sandman, Daredevil, etc. For those big shows they're willing to pay for decent script and great actors because the fanbase is big. They fumbled with Witcher and recently 3 Body Problems but their more expensive productions are usually great
For cheap Netflix shows sometimes you're lucky to have exceptional writing and acting like Cobra Kai and The Haunting of Hill House. Sometimes you're lucky enough to have new actors that can carry mid writing like Bridgerton, YOU, or teen stuff like Wednesday. But generally Netflix produces way more bad shows over the good ones because Netflix is just that greedy. Even after major success the Bridgerton casts are getting paid dust. Don't expect them to invest more to a kdrama that isn't titled Squid Game
I think gaus electronics is the most closest in terms of comedy this drama is nothing serious just comedic and…
No I know this is mostly comedy. I meant everyone has different taste in humor. I usually like campy humor like in Extreme Job, Mr. Queen but Gaus Electronics doesn't make me laugh
I think with all the lighthearted romance releases recently(QoT, LovelyRunner) a sudden shift in tone with this…
It's the opposite. With the first two episodes, people were expecting this drama to be a good revenge drama only for it to focus on the annoying romance. And then the drama tried its best to put all the disgusting bullies in a good light especially Ri-an, as if he isn't the one who tell the other bullies to beat up Kang Inhan. Kang Ha is barely there in the last two episodes and how the bullies get punishment is so ridiculous too as if a criminal record will do any damage to kids that will inherit big company
Rian. The shitty drama tries to shove it under the rug with the "he wasn't directly involved" bullshit but he's literally the one who gave order to the violent guy to beat up Inhan and later Ha
FL chooses a bully over the nice ML. ML also simps for her all the time he forgets he's there to get revenge for his brother. Basically all characters are stupid and annoying
See, this was my question too. The way people are raging over it makes it seems as if the original story is a…
I'm not questioning it because no one is surprised that SK is homophobic. I mean you do realize "BL" dramas in Korea are not actually written for the gays, right? I'm just pointing out that all the frothing at the mouth is not equal with the small content. It misleads people into thinking that the original story has this big love story involving the two main characters: Deukpal and Sekyung. I didn't even see this much outrage over Jon Kent not being bisexual in the series Superman and Lois smh
