My favorite Korean film of all time is Old Boy, one of the "edgiest" Kfilms out there. No, I don't hate on Netflix…
Oh, I didn't see that you've seen the comment lol. I mean I'm too lazy to talk about statistics but the general impression is there. MDL users are not the most rational bunch of people when they give score to a drama. In normal site it'll be getting 6 or 7 for the right reasons but here where everyone is so eager to give a 10 on everything? Some people are extra harsh to this drama and it's definitely not because of the writing, because they've rated worse dramas higher

I mean that doesn't surprise me. Like I said, MDL has this weird rating trend where people act like a drama is shit if it doesn't get anything more than 8.5. And you gotta admit this drama in particular gets a lot of hate because of the nudity when it's something that can be easily ignored. Maybe that's not the case for you and me, but that's the case for many people if you read earlier comments. People really be acting like the nudity is on par with Saltburn or something, saying stuff about netflix trying to market this to western audience blah blah blah when it's just simply mid without the weird shots (I like the weird shots)

Oh yeah totally. I just thought you were being too harsh about it lol. MDL has this weird thing when they thought 8 is a low score when in other site it's a very good score, 4 stars. I gave it 6 myself

Except from The Glory and Kingdom, the rest are not netflix original series. Netflix only own the distribution right. And I wouldn't say The Glory and Kingdom are in the same league too, the writer of A Killer Paradox seems pretty new in the industry. I guess it's personal taste but I'm pretty lenient with the drama because everything about it (except for the actors) screams cheap, and yet I had fun with it anyway. It's like other comedy thriller netflix has produced like the movie Totally Killer, screenplay-wise.

The Handmaiden is based on a gothic novel tho, from a famous writer among sapphic communities at that. But I agree, screenplay is part of the problem, tho people seem to forget that Netflix probably only gave kdramas a fraction of the budget they gave to American production so it's always a hit or miss if they try to do something that isn't a high school romcom series. Then again Netflix shows in general are hit or miss anyway, there are more mid shows than the good ones. Comparing them to feature length movie hardly seems fair.

im trying hard to like this, but its just to " cannes festival indie super deeep and artistic" kinda of film.…
That is an insult to cannes festival indie super deep and artistic films smh. This drama has some interesting stuff but as a whole it almost feels like the director just watched FX's Legion and tried to copy Noah Hawley's style

I should've said dead girl not dead gf. It's ml x dead girl's best friend and sml x dead girl (when she's alive)

It's true they've shown quite few time travel dramas. I personally had no interest in them because it's quality…
Glad to hear that. Hyeyoon needs another win with dramas

While it did a good job on the comedy aspect, the writing ultimately lacked substance. It feels so unfair to receive that degree of bullying only to see the bullies getting away without major repercussions. Whatever message the writer tried to convey fell short because they never give the bullies any redeeming qualities to actually grow as a person, being the one dimensional characters that they are.

Can anyone tell me how is the drama???
It's good. It can be awkward to watch at first if you're not a fan of supernatural shows with vague religious undertones, but other than that it's an interesting show. It's almost like that netflix show Russian Doll but instead of time loop, the main character is trying to survive between 12 reincarnations where he's destined to die in each body, Final Destination-style.

Probably because a conserto is a classical (associated with the word "old") show. And the main character when…
That's a good theory! But I just did a quick google and this is a quote from Wikipedia:

[the Italian word concerto, meaning accord or gathering, derives from the Latin verb concertare, which indicates a competition or battle]

So maybe it's more simple than we thought lol. Maybe it just means "Nobunaga's Battle"

Are you kidding? Taec is probably the best option as a vampire after Lee Soo Hyuk, I can’t imagine anyone better…
Even Nicholas Cage did great as dracula. I think Taecyeon is not as weird as a choice compared to him lol. It's a funny role too afteral, not the all-brooding kind
