As someone who started both dramas as a non-fan, I actually finished Pursuit of Jade and it's not because beauty (though good visuals are always a bonus) but because the drama got me invested in the stories of the characters. I wanted to see how they all ended up. In Prisoner, I watched because it was a good production and plot was well paced but the one day I didn’t feel like watching the update and eventually, never went back. In case of these two dramas, I don’t think one drama is the better than the other, we as viewers just connect to each drama differently. As a fan of romance, Pursuit spoke to me because of how well the relationship between the leads was handled, while in Prisoner I always felt that the FL cared more for the clan than the ML and that made me disconnect with the CP and I dropped the drama. If you don’t like Pursuit, you are welcome to give your opinion but try to do that without thinking you are somehow superior for liking one drama over another.

An app has bug...it's nothing groundbreaking. Indexes like Yunhe have their own way to calculate views. Also, the data on iqiyi is similar and there is no reported bug there. I can’t speak for Chinese audience because I don’t live there but internationally, many people are watching this drama. The Zhu Yu hashtag on twitter have multiple posts with high likes and reposts. On Netflix PH, the drama even entered top 10, which is a rare achievement. Last drama to do so was First Frost. This stuff can’t be faked by Tencent and it's not impossible to believe that c-audience likes it just as much. Not to mention, it's just been 4 days.

Lol people can't believe that drama is doing well and used an old bug to say Tencent is manipulating things to make the drama a hit. Like Tencent has control over third party indexes. My opinion differs from you on Mei Zhuyu’s sacrifice. By that logic, Wu Zhen can continue to protect the demons too even if she is no longer the Cat Lord. Also, Mei Zhuyu never demanded that she give up the demon market. I dislike the fight in episode 29. She wasn't holding back when she attacked Zhuyu with her whip while Mei Zhuyu hesitated and even dropped his weapon against her.

You aren't wrong but you also have an audience's perspective and know more about the demon market. Mei Zhuyu isn’t the same. His interactions with demons have mostly been with those who harmed mortals. So, a place full of demons will of course seem like a big risk for him. However, he is reasonable. Both, him and Shuang Jiang, do not want to harm innocent demons. Wu Zhen doesn't know this and of course she is protecting the demon market. She isn’t wrong for that. As a viewer, it just hurts to see her choose the demon market over Mei Zhuyu when he gave up Changxi palace for her. Also, Mei Zhuyu showed hesitance in his actions but she didn’t. My heart hurts seeing that. I want Mei Zhuyu to have the same love that he readily gives Wu Zhen...but it's in his character to not demand that.

I don't. He doesn't love Wu Zhen. He openly disregards her wishes and does what he wants for his own happiness. If the case was reversed, Mei Zhuyu's love was unrequited and Wu Zhen chose Wu Zishu...he would wish them well. He would never try to dictate what she should and should not do. That's the main difference between the two. Wu Zishu is only loyal till she fits into his ideal image of her and acts as he wants. Once that changes, he acts in his own self interest and disregards her wishes.

I think people are being too harsh on the ML. He already scarificed his found home and family for the FL. At this point, I have no confidence that the FL would do the same for him. In her heart, the demon market is above the ML. Also, he just found out that she is a demon. It's not a small secret. He was taught to eradicate the demons...do people think he should have immediately sided with his wife? Specially after witnessing the damage demons caused in the mortal realm (the demon 18 years ago, shanposuo, ink demon etc.)? That would have been too unrealistic tbh. Personally, for me both need to figure some things out and apologize to each other. Also, I need the FL to know what the ML gave up for her and I want to see her love be that great for the ML.

He has a casting rumor for Fox Spirit 2: Wang Quan in terms of dramas. For now, his next role is in a movie which is slated to start shooting at the end of October, Red Sea 2. Don't worry, he doesn't have any shortage of scripts. There's another 2 dramas that he has been offered but as no credible melon masters have posted about it, I won't drop the name.

Chen Feiyu is very picky when it comes to projects. He wants to try different roles. Anyway, he has two dramas in the pipeline, both better than this one for him as they are male centric dramas while this is a female lead drama. Also, frankly, this is Yue Mi x Tian Qi story, As someone who watched and loved ALP, I prefer the OG cast aka Liu Xueyi and Luo Qiuyun

It's not released yet. These are just roadshows. It will release on 04.28 in theaters only. After it completes its box office run, you can watch it on WeTV and iQIYI.

Apart from China, it will release in Malayasia on 05.04, in North America on 05.05 and in Singapore on 05.11.

Relax. They have had 5 roadshows already. The pre-sales have passed 7million, and given the director's highest grossing movie is 9.58M, this is pretty darn good. It is a small budget movie so it won't collect a whole lot but the movie is set to perform well. Also, Wanda and YOM official already made their statement. They denied that random company's claim. Nothing is happening. The movie is releasing as planned. And he has two additional movies this year. The Great War just dropped poster and he looks phenomenal. Also, he just finished shooting the cultural documentary.
