Yes please. You can check the first 15-20 mins of Qin Dynasty Epic in ep 1. It's a war between two kingdoms (Qin vs Zhao). Then you will see why chinese dramas are the upper hand in historical drama world.

Oh, if you agree with me, then i guess you also watch chinese historical dramas as well? Historical dramas have palace politics, war/battle/sword fighting, game of thrones, traditional costume and culture according to various dynasties, etc.

But wuxia is another genre of cdramas. Wuxia is all about martial arts in Jianghu. But it's very different with sword fighting type in those dynasties/kingdoms dramas. This one was made for battles/wars between kingdoms. And their fighting scenes are 100% very realistic.

Wuxia is very different, it has inner energy, sword fighting with extra speed + inner strength, rivalry between sects, senior and junior within sects, flying heroes from top to top, etc. It's still realistic but also unrealistic. So it's completely different between historical vs wuxia.

You should check Qin Dynasty Epic. And this is one of the best. This war drama had so many high quality battle/war/fighting scenes that very accurate according to chinese histories. Sorry to say but Queen Woo battle scenes were still average if we compared it to chinese drama battle/war scenes.

Yup. Those dramas were not even the same genre. Fantasy vs Historical fiction/business (jewelry) in ancient times (Tang Dynasty). But ppl keep comparing both of them like orange to apple.

You should differentiate between historical genre vs fantasy genre. CGI fighting in cdramas are for xianxia genre. Not historical genre. If you want to compare this drama (historical genre) then you need to see more historical chinese dramas. I watched dramas from both China and Korea. And China is still far better in creating epic war/battle/fighting/sword scenes. Even chinese palace politics are more interesting. For example Qin Dynasty Epic, Wonderland Of Love, Love Like The Galaxy, Blossom, Story of Kunning Palace, etc. It's widely well known that period costume drama and historical stuff are chinese drama top dishes.

Oh you said that you like LLTG? As far as I know, besides slice of life, LLTG also has Ling Buyi as the cold blooded young general. And his actions with sword was quite violent with high amount of blood.

That's why i said everyone taste is different. I bet even the awesome epic war/battle movie won't suitable for you.

So, i guess there is no need to judge about the drama quality because your taste is different. Basically it's not fair. For me, this drama was awesome from ep 1.

Story of Kunning Palace.

You should check it out. It was also a rebirth story like Blossom. I love SOKP so much. The chemistry between Bailu and Zhang Linghe were so great. The story is so good and complete, the pacing is fast, there is no dull moment + satisfying ending.

Ep 1 was the best episode for me. It was also my fave episode for Blossom. It was so dramatic and tragic but very beautiful. The camera work was awesome. The cinematography was very beautiful. It was full of aesthetic meanings. Even the snow fall was so beautiful but it had tragic vibes everywhere. The actors and actresses performances were also so beautiful and very convincing.

Maybe you are not suitable for dramatic story and camera work that's why you found ep 3 n 4 were better than ep 1 because things were less dramatic for ep 3-4. It's just everyone taste is different. I am the one who eager for tragic and dramatic things but beautiful. So ep 1 was my fave automatically.
