I wanna add Hard to Find (28 eps) and Butterflied Lover (22 eps). Each eps 20-22 mins. Both of them are very great series. The ML roles were played by Zhao Yi Qin (Provoke ML).

You can check them out if you haven't watched both of the dramas yet. They are very very GOOD. Both of them were written by the same writer (Zhao Lin) of Provoke and A Familiar Stranger.

Wow actually i love this kind of anti-hero ML. He is cruel and crazy but miserable at the same time. His actions are cruel towards the FL but after one moment he realized that he loves her...then the peak of angsty love will become a delicious feast to me. I love the cruel but deep romance with blood and tears 🤣😅 So, no wonder, this drama is already in my top spot for upcoming chinese period costume dramas.

I think Murong Jin is definitely crazier than Xie Wei from "Story of Kunning Palace".

Sad ending but it's beautifully written

4. Nirvana in Fire S1 (54 eps. Happy ending for the dynasty. But ML died in the end after he won the battle. Bittersweet ending)
5. One and Only (24 eps. But they reincarnated in modern era. The continuation is 30 eps modern drama with same ML FL "Forever and Ever" happy ending for modern part)
6. Pearl Eclipse (48 eps. Open ending but I am 90% sure the ML died)
7. The Rise of Phoeniexes (70 eps)

Then, you can check LLTG. The beginning is a bit slow but it's very well written. They focus the first arc to FL's family first, then the romance begins in second arc. Third arc (LLTG part 2) is my favorite arc when their love is reunited as one + they reached 4th arc as the peak of story.

I think I saw some pict about their wedding night kiss. I hope they don't cut them out or just show the kisses from far far away 😅😅😅 i guess yesterday kiss was a bad sign already tbh

I don't watch dramas only based on kisses. So don't judge a person too quickly.

The double is in my list already. And i just want to know if this drama got proper kisses or not. Just like that. I love romance but i also love good execution, good story, and good production.

Oh no is it like bird kisses from The Long Ballad? I mean why they did that? Lol bcs so many chinese dramas nowadays have bold kisses like Story of Kunning Palace

Actually you should watch the high budget period costume dramas if you want to see the real quality of chinese dramas. Don't pick the low-mid budget one.

You can try "Love Like The Galaxy" and "My Journey To You" as well for best cinematography + well executed historical dramas.

You can also check "The Double" that keep standing very hot right now.

For kisses, you can check the modern dramas as well, not all chinese dramas got dead fish kisses type. There is some good real kisses. Please check these dramas
