He is actually a super sweet and gentle husband for FL. You can see it in later part after their full story unfolded. There was so many history between them. That's why his character is a complex one. It's a love story with tragedy and their chemistry is so great, natural, sizzling, and captivating.

I really love the trailer of FSMM 2 Love in Pavillion because it has indication of tragic love story. I am a fan of angsty love story + I am very fine with sad ending. We can see the level of real angst and love in part 2. Liu Shi Shi and Zhang Yun Long are also compatible with each other.

I hope the failure of FSMM 1 would not affect the airing schedule of FSMM 2. I am afraid iQiyi will delay the part 2 because they need to neutralize the hates towards FSMM series. Logically, they will release other series first to switch netizen's attention to the other things.
I think FSMM 2 Love in Pavillion and FSMM 3 Sword n Beloved would be BETTER than this one. The part 2 and 3 trailers got different vibes than the part 1 from beginning.
