I like to say there are two types of romances/love in ALL dramas (American & International). There's skin deep, and then there's bone deep. The romance here, for me, is absolutely bone deep. Both endearing and beautiful.
So I just finished this, and I was punished for holding off on watching this because I actually had to endure the leads crying in each other's arms all by myself. I will have to rethink waiting to watch something like this AFTER all the episodes have been released. Lesson Learned.
I had to go back and watch the beginning of episode 31 again to stop the tears.
Phenomenal. Extraordinary. The OST was incredible. The Leads were Sensational. I hope this is getting the recognition it deserves.
anybody watched this?? how is the drama? how is the romance between leads? which episodes they got together..…
I hesitated to watch this after The Story of Kunning Palace (which I really liked), but LOVING this so far. It moves at a fast pace which is to my liking. So far (at ep 24) no misunderstandings but there is a dramatic separation which is somewhat temporary. The chemistry is a slow burn but at the perfect temperature for the leads. To be honest, I wasn't the biggest fan of LGX before this, but he's absolutely nailing his part here. I've found myself rewatching episodes or scenes which usually only happens AFTER I've finished with a drama. I highly recommend.
If you miss them, you may like to see them attending Versace event today. They also gave us a hug:)https://twitter.com/youniebear/status/1778739070090486162https://twitter.com/curcunist/status/1778733332995407908https://twitter.com/itsmejodiiii/status/1778735954985169140https://twitter.com/itsmejodiiii/status/1778740596838191612https://twitter.com/itsmejodiiii/status/1778764739436298419
I can’t get enough of them. That little hug has fueled my entire weekend.
I tried to read through the comments, but does anyone know when this will be airing? I just finished The Story of Kunning Palace (phenomenal) and thought ZLH did a fantastic job in his role. His paring with Bai Lu was perfect.
Zhang Linghe absolutely KILLED IT in this drama. Argh!!! I need more. I need more!! 🤩🤩🤩
I so agree! I just started watching this after A LOT of hesitation. OMG. This story is what I've been wanting to watch. It's full of intrigue and interesting characters. I tend to find myself FF through subplots, but not here. This is a very high 10 for me so far.
I’m not sure what it is about this drama that I just can’t get into. I’ve tried to watch it four different…
Same. I kept hearing the Tanya Tucker song while watching this..."If It Don't Come Easy." I know many people are CRAZY about this series, but it's just not everyone's cup of tea.
This is so annoying. Why did they have to change the name to 'The Story of Pearl Girl' it sounds so bland. The…
If anything, I think this series has affected LYN's popularity in a positive way. Since the release of the Wrap Video (which he looked genuinely happy in), those who didn't believe he was a good fit for this role, had a change of heart.
Also, I saw a post on X from October where fans were asking him to leave TLOJ. He said he couldn't agree and begged them to give him a different wish. LYN is a grown man who knows what he's doing. I'm certain he saw this for what it was at the time, a great opportunity. Again, his smiles and tears at the Wrap Party tells me everything I need to know.
My only WISH is that he can stay healthy and balance musician/actor so his fans can still listen to him on their 1 hour commute to work each day (oh, that would be me).
