This is so annoying. Why did they have to change the name to 'The Story of Pearl Girl' it sounds so bland. The…
If anything, I think this series has affected LYN's popularity in a positive way. Since the release of the Wrap Video (which he looked genuinely happy in), those who didn't believe he was a good fit for this role, had a change of heart.
Also, I saw a post on X from October where fans were asking him to leave TLOJ. He said he couldn't agree and begged them to give him a different wish. LYN is a grown man who knows what he's doing. I'm certain he saw this for what it was at the time, a great opportunity. Again, his smiles and tears at the Wrap Party tells me everything I need to know.
My only WISH is that he can stay healthy and balance musician/actor so his fans can still listen to him on their 1 hour commute to work each day (oh, that would be me).
If you remember, the same thing happened when Bulgari event was. A huge smearing campaign. There are ppl who really…
I was like a mama bear yesterday…I was so upset to read all the hate. Do that many people have such useless lives? I always look forward to seeing what she will bring next, though. 😍
Yeah, I hate those comments calling her fat and ugly, but I do have to admit that outfit is absolutely hideous.…
Someone posted a side by side photo of Lusi and another model wearing it on X. Lusi did look best in it, IMO. Perhaps this is what she had to run with, and she did it with grace and poise.
When Zhao Lusi or Liu Yuning are the main leads, I am certain that the drama will be amazing! ❤️
After a clip of them in TLB came up on my YouTube feed a few years ago, I started watching the series, but only them...no shade to the leads, of course. I've been dreaming of this pairing for a long time. I just love Zhao Lusi and Liu Yuning's chemistry.
I'm not sure I'm crazy about Lusi's look today/yesterday, but I do applaud her and her courage to show us a different appearance, which may or may not be, outside her comfort zone. I'm way out of my twenties so I envy her grit to walk a different line than what others believe she should walk, to break free of the package others believe she should remain in.

I must say, I'm hugely disappointed in the criticism out of Macao. Whenever she chooses to show a different, not always popular side to her, netizens pounce, resorting to calling her "fat" and "ugly". How cowardly, insecure and childish must one be to say this behind a computer screen? Seriously, if I woke up tomorrow as "fat" and "ugly" as her, I'd be dangerous.

I decided to reply to an earlier post and to an account (that was just created TODAY to wreck havoc here). As the saying goes, "“Blowing out someone else’s candle will not make yours shine brighter.” --
Hopefully their distain for this drama and actors will keep them from having to post anymore here. May they find their happy place amongst other dramas where height differences matter and melons are eaten and enjoyed regularly...
Now Everytime I recommend this drama, I have to explain that they should forget about the title and just trust…
Same, although those I've told do think Pearl Girl is better vs Jewelry. IDK.
To add on to what I've said in other posts, I just think for marketing and branding purposes, the title should have been changed prior to filming not the day after wrapping. I know in book publishing, I was not allowed to change my book title before it went through the editing phase because I had to start marketing/promoting/branding right away. Beyond if it's a great or mediocre title, for me the timing was jarring to the momentum the BTS and Wrap Party sat. Bottom line, I can't help but be disappointed because what was built under The Legend of Jewelry's umbrella has now been washed away. -
That said, I'm beside myself with anticipation for this release.
So excited for this ❤️ Hopefully we get to see it by the end of this year 🤞🏻🤞🏻https://x.com/ZLYM_TLOJ/status/1770632270044368974?s=20https://x.com/ZLYM_TLOJ/status/1770632700660949483?s=20
Makes me want to watch it more. Thanks for sharing. I saw 1 mil views in 18 minutes. Amazing!
New title? A bit wonky but better than another Legend of something or other.
It seems many are still tagging #TheLegendofJewelry on SM or using both title tags. Even if it wasn’t a great title, I feel some are reluctant to let go.
😆 let hope they keep changing it still they get the right one because i dont like this title either
Beyond the title 'girl' which I don't think does Lusi's character justice, there is also the awkwardness of 'Pearl Girl'. I did tell my twin sister who just started watching dramas, and she seems to like the new title better than the old.
I do think this has been received favorably by many. It may take some time to get use to it. It was the first time I've ever followed a drama, watching BTS footage as it was happening and a same day wrap party. It was so very exciting, so that exhilaration is tied to the old name for me.

1. I didn’t start watching this earlier
2. I didn’t start watching this on a Friday so I can binge watch it.
I’ve been waiting so long for a series to pull me in and not let go. So far, this one is it. The rating should be much higher.
