I decided to reply to an earlier post and to an account (that was just created TODAY to wreck havoc here). As the saying goes, "“Blowing out someone else’s candle will not make yours shine brighter.” --

Hopefully their distain for this drama and actors will keep them from having to post anymore here. May they find their happy place amongst other dramas where height differences matter and melons are eaten and enjoyed regularly...

Same, although those I've told do think Pearl Girl is better vs Jewelry. IDK.

To add on to what I've said in other posts, I just think for marketing and branding purposes, the title should have been changed prior to filming not the day after wrapping. I know in book publishing, I was not allowed to change my book title before it went through the editing phase because I had to start marketing/promoting/branding right away. Beyond if it's a great or mediocre title, for me the timing was jarring to the momentum the BTS and Wrap Party sat. Bottom line, I can't help but be disappointed because what was built under The Legend of Jewelry's umbrella has now been washed away. -

That said, I'm beside myself with anticipation for this release.

There's a lot of good information along with reasons and opinions below this post.

Makes me want to watch it more. Thanks for sharing. I saw 1 mil views in 18 minutes. Amazing!

It seems many are still tagging #TheLegendofJewelry on SM or using both title tags. Even if it wasn’t a great title, I feel some are reluctant to let go.

Beyond the title 'girl' which I don't think does Lusi's character justice, there is also the awkwardness of 'Pearl Girl'. I did tell my twin sister who just started watching dramas, and she seems to like the new title better than the old.

I do think this has been received favorably by many. It may take some time to get use to it. It was the first time I've ever followed a drama, watching BTS footage as it was happening and a same day wrap party. It was so very exciting, so that exhilaration is tied to the old name for me.

Thank you!!

Do you know the name of the production company for this drama?

I’m a little disappointed to read this. As well, The Legend of Jewelry title was trending a few days ago and is now tied to sooo many great posts on SM. On YOUKU (Chinese Version), it is still Pearl Curtain Jade Curtain, at least it was yesterday. Call it what they may, I just hope they deliver a beautiful, unforgettable drama in the end.

I giddily agree!

I thought the same. The synopsis is outdated, I believe but there doesn’t seem to be an updated one anywhere at the moment. If you keep scrolling down you’ll see a better explanation from another poster.

Is it also true she recommended Victor Ma to play her brother in Hidden Love? I thought the sibling pairing could not be more perfect. I remember first learning of her and LYN's collaborating and how some wanted to X it. I'm so happy this moved forward with LYN. From what I've seen, he looks absolutely perfect for this role.

And it's not like they don't have any good material. The photos and videos from filming are some of the best I've ever seen. I hope the energy and synergy of everyone is not wasted.

I believe he used a lip double in UTP...truly. It was the scene where she's feeding him medicine. His kiss scene with Seven Tan was fake, but one of the better ones I've seen. I still LOVED the series because the chemistry was amazing.

LOL! Same!

I keep repeating the mantra, 'Please Don't Mess Up the Ending. Please Don't Mess Up the Ending.!" ... Which I think would make a great title for a series about a hopeless romantic FL who enters a story where the writers/directors totally ruined the ending of her favorite drama. Thus...begins her journey to fix it.

I’m so hungry for this drama. I’m following anyone who has stills and BTS videos of their scenes. The costumes and chemistry coming from the final shoots have been absolutely amazing 🤩 However, I’m now like a five year old whose parents just gave them presents for Christmas but was told not to open until then. Ohhhh, the waiting!

Thanks so much! I think watching this may become a journey in and of itself, but I can't wait. :-)

This one may keep us guessing til the end.

It’s very confusing because the synopsis makes it sound like the SML (not LYN ❤️) is the hero who gets the girl in the end? Or…am I reading this wrong? I just want LYN to be the ML and for them not to totally mess up the ending 🙏
