She is quite transparent isn’t she and even admits she only loves herself so she’s not hiding anything from the viewers. There are 30 episodes to go, so her character can quite easily take a nastier turn regarding her best friend. Still quite invested in her character.
Omg I finally figured it out! Hao Jia played Tilan in Novoland. I heard her voice and was like, she sounds so…
I believe how this series started with getting us acquainted with the characters, especially all the female characters, was very well done. I don't know why I'm so interested in how Hao Jia is going to end up. I really feel for her, although this is what she wanted. However, I don't see a happy ending for her, but I can't stop watching her story evolve.
What a wonderfully refreshing historical drama. I LOVE how so many Female characters are interacting with each other without wanting to tear each other's hair out. I'm even interested in a few side couples, which rarely happens. I normally FF through their scenes.
And, I have to say, the SFL is hilarious and even has some great chemistry with the FL which I've never seen in a drama. Don't get me wrong, the SFL is rotten, but in a wildly entertaining way.
So far, highly recommend this series which has some laugh-out-loud moments.
Same!! The last straw was her smacking him on the mouth while he was leaning in for a sweet kiss. Even the actor…
For this particular scene, yes, I believe it was an over-the-top reaction. She's actually jealous, so she's punishing him for her jealousy by smacking him on the mouth and shoving his head back when he leans in SLOWLY for a kiss. It wasn't like a Lakorn where he grabbed her and was trying to steal a kiss.
They even build the scene with heart filters so the viewer, or at least me, expects a sweet, romantic interaction between them. I agree there is a place where a FL needs to be stern and maybe even aggressive toward the ML. For me, this scene and her reaction killed the chemistry built up so far.
Maybe the director told her to do this, but it was too off-putting. I know many viewers think this is cute. It made me uncomfortable for the ML.
For the most part, I thought she was cute at times and very bubbly, almost dizzying; however, I don't think she paired well with the solemness of the ML. In several scenes she became too phyiscal (smacking/pushing/etc) which made it a bit cringey for my taste.
I really did want to love this series and may revisit at some time since the majority of the consensus here is to love the FL's antics. I do like the actress and enjoyed her in, "Everyone Wants to Meet You."
The bottom line is I didn't think the ML deserved the reactions he received from the FL. Many would disagree with me, and that's why there is a forum to talk about what we like and dislike about the shows we watch.
This is obviously nothing more than a light cartoony, romcom so you can throw logic out the window. I knew not…
Same!! The last straw was her smacking him on the mouth while he was leaning in for a sweet kiss. Even the actor looked surprised and a little pissed. Some people might think this is cute , but I don’t like FL who are overly aggressive.
Another positive point about the series...I think the ML actor is doing a fantastic job differentiating between his 2021 and 2022 self. There's no question in the scenes which one is which.
With little expectations going in, I sat and binge watched 10 episodes. I’m VERY satisfied so far. The pacing is great with very interesting characters and plot. It reminds me of the two American movies, The Lake House with Keanu Reeves and Just Like Heaven with Reese Witherspoon. Loved both these movies by the way. A bonus is a well done kissing scene. Good job by the leads in keeping me wanting to see more 😊
Oh…and I liked seeing the ML from Maids Revenge in a supporting role here.
I really didn't think it was bad, especially compared to Allen Ren-type kissing scenes. In Under the Power, he…
I would watch Allen Ren if he was cast in anything but romance. UTP is the only series I've sat through, and that is mostly because of Seven Tan. LOVE her! I just have chocolate molten lava bonbon cake expectations when it comes to romance dramas, and I know going in, Ren will be vanilla cake without icing. I do wonder if the actresses playing opposite him have added stress because of his stipulations regarding those scenes.
Oh...and...Love is Sweet was definitely my kind of cake :-)

OMG!! LOL. I thought the same thing when watching that scene!! I actually dropped the series after this. Having a deadpan or wooden actress/actor can absolutely ruin a series.
Wow!!! The kissing scenes look weird....both are bad kissers.
I really didn't think it was bad, especially compared to Allen Ren-type kissing scenes. In Under the Power, he even used a lip double...that was way weird. I respect and understand his reasoning, however. For me, if the actors lips actually touch, I'm okay with everything else. That being said...I do prefer Luo Zheng-type kissing scenes.
Oh my gosh, that scene when he took ofthe jacket was hilarious 🤣🤣https://kisskh.me/Drama/My-Girlfriend-Is-an-Alien-2/Episode-15?id=6039&ep=106746&page=0&pageSize=100
There are so many cute re watchable scenes in this one, too.
I loved season one, I don't want to ruin it for me. I have been only seeing people say the season is bad. Should…
I'm highly enjoying this, and I was hesitant to watch it because I enjoyed S1 so much. I thought the chemistry between the leads couldn't be surpassed from S1, however, they are so in tune with one another in S2. So much more fun to watch. More kissing, too!!
