I hear ya. I dropped it when they showed QXX evil twin. He wasn't bad at all. The fact that granny kept to between the brothers and actually succeeding and the poor trapped twin who did nothing but doesn't even get justice - I know they decided to hold hands and forgive it all in the end, it didn't sit right with me, esp since that granny became a main character at the end. There's not enough brain bleach to make me forget this hot mess.

Seems like it was inspired by KANK - Kabhi Alvida Na Kehna (an equally trashy bollywood movie). The cheater couple gets together at the end, trash taking itself out thankfully, so their spouses can find better partners (as shown in epilogue).

Na, I agree. It was a novel concept, but the execution was too poor. The MC (Myungha transmigrates into an otome/choice game). Yeonwoo is supposed to be his final choice and whatever options he chooses will eventually lead to Yeonwoo and him dating/getting married. It was a very simple idea and it would have been brilliant (just look at Our Dating Sim, but only the game part).
They added the system error and love triangle and death/philosophical bend for absolutely no reason and it just complicated the plot. Even if it was a part of the manhwa, they could have avoided it to make it more linear and sensible.
I mean, look at the Love Breeze bl. The original manhwa had ghosts and soulmates and stuff, but the show kept it simple with just normal insomnia.
They madr it unncessarily complicated. The first 5 eps were good - transmigration/system and linear plot. What was the point of making that IG mission and missions to make Yeonwoo a celeb etc? If the idea behind the transmigration was to guve Myungha a 2nd chance and make him, then they should have stuck the linear progression of followed up on kissing at the end of ep 5, like a normal otome game. It ia choice game, not set plot (we already deviated from the novel when Myungha became a playable character). So it makes no to introduce "system error" because whatever choices Myungha makes IS the correct choice since he is playing.
Also, was anyone for the main characters of the novel to show up? My guess was Sangwon and Sia were the original protagonists (since the original novel was NOT a bl). Kyunghoon had a typical NPC side character/brother of FL energy. I wouldn't have minded Kyunghoon and Sangwon as a couple since they were always together. Why even bother having an offscreen boyfriend for Kyunghoon if he was never shown.
Why do people think that anything that happens on screen is a representative of the community. U dont hear people complain when a 1000yr demon and a 20-something human female are paired in My Demon because it's a bad representation for straight community.
Manga is manga, drama is drama, reality is reality. People who are "concerned" about the pairing should because one os 50yr old guy in body of a teenager and other is a teenager, nobody is calling My Queen as a bl, even though the person in body of the Queen was a 30yr old man. It's a straight romcom. So why the double standard here?
