For me, it was better that he died without knowing because knowing that they both loved each other but can never be together or be together only in secret while hiding from their wives and families would be much worse. In a way, Jaewon protected Yoonho's heart by pretending to not know.

Sad ., but I didn't really find it as surprising or shocking as others. The guy was sick (it was a big thing about him, even before gay reveal). He is love with his best friend (but within restraints of that time era). There is a girl who loves him. She knows about his sexuality (she pretends to be ignorant and dismissive until a courtesan opens her eyes and after which she openly accepts him). She even helps him confess to his love (helping him crossdress and pretend to be a new courtesan who is in love with "young master Jaewon" because they don't want him to freak out and get disgusted with his gay friend. Jaewon himself is straight, and was arranged to be married (which he can't really avoid) and it revealed in the last few seconds that he also loved him.

In my opinion, the end was as happy as it could be given the era. Yoonho was able to come out and openly accept himself (and found great support from a very unexpected source) and while he died not knowing his love was requited, for me, knowing that it was requited but that they could never be together would have been worse. He died with peace and hopefully him and Jaewon can meet again in next life

If u are looking for modern representation in a historical movie, it's not exactly the makers fault. This is a forbidden unrequited romance which is authentic to that era. U dont really expect a period bl to have a happy ending where both are openly gay and together. There is a good reason why many period bls have an open or tragic ending, it's because us queers have come a very very long way from being considered criminal or mentally ill to DADT to now demanding equal legal rights as "normal" aka heterosexual couples.

Bromance but I wouldn't call it queerbaiting. They never marketed it as BL or even hinted at romance between the two. Given that the lead (Kim Yu) is a real historical figure whose descendents are very much alive, and in picture, I doubt the makers would take creative liberties with his sexuality.

The ml looks exactly like what I would expect a "good looking" ml of a typical pornhwa to look like, so it's a plus?

Are u familiar with the concept of delulu fans? If u into kpop, for eg, u might know, or atleast have heard of fans who get upset when an idol starts dating. They are fine with them being single and "available" because it means they have a chance (even if it is imaginary and will never happen in a million years) but if the idol actually gets into a relationship, it just means that some other woman is getting what u always wanted (i.e she STOLE *YOUR* dibs) and if that woman can have him, why can't she who has been there longer. It's a simple petty jealousy, nothing else.

Also, there have been "signs" as u say all through the season. Unless u wanted a scene where Hana is worshipping a stalker-like alter of Taeha and cutting up Yeonwoo's pictures (like we got with the stepmom). Her crush was never hidden from anyone, it was just DADT, until she started telling.

He did realise it, but he ignored it. U have to take into account that this drama takes place in pretty conservative Korea, so acknowledging her crush (without her openly confessing) could have an adverse effect on her in the company (like her gossipy coworkers could have called her a slut who wants to sleep her way to the top). Plus, there's an "ignorance is bliss" component, like having a crush doesn't mean necessarily wanting a relationship, it can just be fangirl appreciation (like when u say u have a crush on BTS members, u dont necessarily want to marry them), so he let have her crush while he treated like any other staff.

But when she openly confessed to him, AFTER finding out he is married, that's when he felt the need to reject her outright.

It makes no sense to kill her just for a monument. I think the MiL's original plan was to kill husband "the ugly old bachelor", then act like he was murdered by Yeonwoo and her family for lying about the heart disease and su3 for their property as reparation (that's why she slaps/attacks her).

But when Yeonwoo said she already knew he was sick, and was planning to live like a widow and mourn him, she changed her plans so it looked like Yeonwoo has suicided in grief, so they erected a monument in her honour. Then it's even more easy to get rid of her grieving parents (who lost both daughter and son-in-law the same day). The Yeonwoo's portrait in grandfather's cabinet has a burnt corner, so it's also possible they killed her parents and set their house on fire to get rid of the evidence (stole all precious stuff first).

In yesterday's ep, when MHS lady bodyguard walks into the board meeting as Kang Taeha is giving a presss conference, he is standing next to her shady assitant. The only 2 people standing, when everyone else is sitting. Also, there was a scene is one of the earlier episodes when grandpa calls him for a private meeting that he only allowed MHS to marry into the family and lead the company until Taeha became an adult because Mr. Min was such a "harmless" guy or something.

I think he will end up either Mr. Hong's sister. If Mr. Hong wasnt in picture I would ship him with Sa Wol (he seems to have a thing for fiesty women).

Hell, I am not giving up my hope for Taemin-Sa Wol-Hong love triangle until the last second.
