See, avg people wouldn't care, just like woth Bezos. But would it affect the company stock in the market, yes, it did happen with Amazon. Which affects the company standing and profile. Which is where the board and internal politics comes in picture. Stepmom is trying to stage a coup by claiming that Taeha"s actions (sudden marriage) are affecting company profits.
Also, as u said, in west, people are a lot less conservative whereas in asia, that's like the most important thing.
I’m really not understanding the family relations. In one of the flash backs when the ML was a child it looked…
In India, it would depend on how popular and big the businessman is. For eg, if Ratan Tata or Mukesh Ambani had a scandal, like a illegitimate family expose, people would care. Gautam Singhaniya's divorce is a big deal because his wife is also on the board of Raymond and it was very sudden and shocking. But even in other non-famous companies, the scandal would affect the market to an extent. The common people wouldn't care that much but it doesn't mean there would be zero effect on the company. It all depends on the "values" of the company.
Like nobody holds Elon Musk to higher standards but if say, Mark Zuckerberg, who is well-known as a "family man", was suddenly exposed to have a secret family, then it would affect the Meta stock (which is literally what the Board cares for. THEIR money).
In Kang Taeha's case, SH is a family-oriented company and if u read the articles, they say he had a "shotgun wedding" with some bargirl and/or illegitimate daughter of some other businessman. And considering that it was so sudden and secretive, unlike how a marriage of a celebrity (I say this with a pinch of salt) should be) that not even the board was informed of it, they think it's a problem.
I liked this episode! Yeon Woo and Sa Wol are my favourites, they’re so funny and I love their friendship. Is…
I think they are trying to make it scandalous because he is a pretty high profile chaebol who got married to some no-name person is a very secretive ceremony. And idk they were expecting free food at the wedding or something lol.
so the color change of the accessory and her husband's blood on it is probably cause of poison in his blood? and…
He didn't the wine, she did. But it is very possible that the husband's mom was also poisoning him. But I feel like since there is a supernatural element the husband's pendent and the Yeon Woo's flower branch are connected.
a part of me: secretly hoping they end up together somehow in joseon timesalso me: knowing it's most likely not…
I dont think she will go back since she has nothing to back to. Her actual husband is dead, she is married so she cant go back to her family or even work because she is a noblewoman. Also, she has 3 years of mourning to do.
Brokeback Mountain did wonders for the mainstream gay romances than 1000 HE indie ones.
Exactly. For most of history, mlm relationships have been secondary to normal/het relationships because the only marital relationships that truly mattered were the one which gave birth to children. It's not like mlm didnt exist but gwttung married to opposite sex and having children to continue the family line was considered ur utmost duty, which is also arranged marriages was such a big and important thing.
The family chose a suitable partner and ur job was to accept it, whether u like it or not.

All kdramas aren't romance, that is the point. They are shoving romance plot lines in stories which literally have nothing to do with romance, like action or thriller/mystery or horror or psychological. That's what FORCED ROMANCE means.
Even in this drama, which isnt even out, u yourself said in your above comment (and I quote), "They might throw in a romance still" so even u agree that there IS a possibility of romance in the drama, which again means that it isn't ZERO ROMANCE drama

How many kdramas can you tell, where there is a female lead and a male lead and there is NO romance AT ALL. I go out of my way to seek kdramas which have ZERO romance and guess what?
Unless, there is a 99.9% chance there is romance in it. It may not be between ML and FL but there definitely is. Or eg in Devil Judge ML and FL are Jisung and the villain, but the romance is between 2ML and his cop friend even though the drama is based on a bl novel. Good Manager, romance between FL and 2ML (not ML). U can count those numbers on your hands. Even u yourself had to refer to 2017 drama as an example. So, there you go.
When u have MANY kdramas made within 2020 to 2023, which have ZERO romance AT ALL with both ML and FL please come back to me.
Excited for this drama, the cast looks amazing!👏🏽. Don’t know why some people are asking if there’ll…
Bécause (a) it is a kdrama, so them shoving forced romance down our throats is to be expected and (b) the tag says "Grim Reaper Female Lead", now it CAN mean non-romantic female lead, but let's be honest here. This is a kdrama, refer to (a).
There is most probably going to be romance here, whether you like it or not, and whether the source has it or not, just like they did with Holy Idol.
Also, as u said, in west, people are a lot less conservative whereas in asia, that's like the most important thing.

OP just said the hairstyle was bad, and I agreed with them. Bad styling is bad styling no more, no less.
