I mean it's fine to not a drama, but saying *I dont like" or "I hate it" or "this is not my scene" is different from saying is a "meh shallow romcom" and "missed opportunity". Even if she didnt kill the mom, she is definitely complacent. She wanted her married boss (Ha Na is going to MHS 2.0) and took the opportunity to get rid of his wife, either by design or by locking her in that room, and then married the guy even though he didn't actually like her and he drank himself to death. Now she goes out of her way to harass Taeha because she wants HIS property and company. I'd rather they not give her a redemption arc

Personally, Sa Wol adjusting easily modern makes complete sense. Even in the past, she is shown as some sort of supermaid (like the pancake flipping scene) and she was a lot more used to Yeonwoo's mischiefs. Plus, she (and Yeonwoo) both were extremely openminded and modern for their time (they were working and saving money to run off to America). And also, the work is she is doing now is pretty much the same as what she did before, working as a maid to some noble/high class family, so she is familiar with the traditional etiquettes and manners and thus, doesn't need to adjust a lot

U forget that ML isnt from distance past but from 1600s ish when the Christian missionaries were already spreading to Asia and beyond. FL was too modern for her time (like wanting to work for her living even as a noblewoman). She was familiar with some modern technology like pocket watches, telescope etc which have been around for far longer than people realise. Even back then she was planning to escape to the Americas, and as someone who herself designed and sold "risque" clothing and sexy innerclothes, she isnt too weirded out by modern fashion. Also, she has met foreigners... as a daughter of a state minister, she probably was a lot more exposed to foreigners and foreign culture, like the "coloured-eye" match maker.

Other stuff like tv, mobiles, modern paper currency, cars, roomba, milk they have shown her being fascinated by. Stuff like her not knowing how to read and write korean alphabet, well she learned the kanji/chinese script like all noblemen of her time, but she was shown as smart "genius" even in the past, so we just see her being a quick study with modern korean. No need waste full episode on it.
