The highlight for me for the latest episodes is the interaction between BFX and HC. Both of them smiling at the…
Yes, love their small interaction and how Lusi is able to convey so much with the smallest micro expression…at the end her blink and movement made me think that she was thinking about not just her childhood at the sect but her puzzling out how to share with him her princess identity.
Then the comforting hand hold gave me chills…like major foreshadowing of bad things coming to the sect.
1. I am so sad Xi Yun’s brother will die (even though we all know this is going to happen)2. I am confused with…
Yup…I’m predicting 3 as well. Of which we will see 2 tomorrow. Ep 31 the “confession” kiss. Ep 32 the lip touch when she is gravely injured. And of course the wedding.
until now, i still hate the fact that yu wu yuan is evil... i liked him 😞
I have had to force myself to separate the novel vs the drama to truly and fairly enjoy the drama.
The novel is a good narrative that makes you think and does a beautiful job of painting the character, the world and the conflicts of human. But the novel is the novel and the drama is the drama.
With that distinction, I must say that I really am having a blast with the drama. It has completely captivated me..the visual, the humor, the sweetness and the underlining tension…it is just the perfect mix. I need more! ;)
can someone tell me does the little boy die in this? Its such a common trope in costume dramas so i'm nervous…
If you are asking about Han Pu, no he doesn’t in the novel and in the drama I’m guessing not because there is a 16 yr old actor tagged as young Han Pu…so time skip later
In the scene where he gave her the charm, BFX said ‘so even the deity of romance gave out protection charm too’…
Protection for their romance ;) So his next confession doesn’t fail Ward off those who try to woo her away Oi….Our BFX is just too much of a troublemaker
Yes I'm with a lot of you! Tired of the political. Want some romance.
Hmm sorry but the novel has very little romance and more politics. The drama has done a great job giving more little sweet daily exchanges, unofficial “dates” and straight out HFX chasing and trying to confess to BFX so early and multiple times to BFX. However these sweet moments are also the same ones many people are complaining about saying that it does not move the story along. You just cannot please everyone :/
I don't get the confusion about whether BFX's master knows her real identity. In earlier episodes, he clearly…
BFX’s master knows. I’m not sure Langhua knows…would need to validate the audio vs English translation. Last time translation was off for Juirong calling her Xiyun when he actually said martial sister. Another super misleading translation was when BFHX disguised as siblings but audio was more like owner-maidservant relationship
loved her in the long ballad, loving her even more in who rules the world 💕
Yes yes and yes! I cannot hold myself back anymore…I became a fan of Zhao Lusi after Dating in the Kitchen and then ROTAR for how cute and funny she was.
And in the Long Ballad she surprised me…I was so scared to watch it and kept putting it off as I dislike weak and always crying girls. But she did such a stellar job that I fast forwarded just to watch the HaoYan scenes. Her portrayal of the role was the highlight of the drama for me. I was so impressed with her acting…showing such a different side…restraint, poise, elegance, tears at everything and then growth and gentle but determined internal strength. IMO she didn’t over act what could be a very annoying role or easily overlooked role. She does not possess the exotic or classic beauty. But her charm and inner beauty shines through in all that she does. And inner beauty is so much more appealing for me.
Now with WRTW, love her demeanor and very natural portrayal of a smart, strong and kind heroine. However the thing that has me ranting with praise is her micro expression. She already does a great job of expressing with her eyes but this time she takes it to another level with micro micro movements…ie the small eyebrow twitch when HFX told her to sleep in his room when they were pretending to be a married couple and then her slight facial change when HFX barged into the parlor to drag her back. There were many other instances like this where I wish the camera could focus and slow down a bit for us to appreciate it as they are so micro it is easy to miss
Ok enough of my rabbling…in closing…loving Lusi’s acting and continuous improvement. Looking forward to her future performances. Wishing more and more will come to appreciate her
i think between martial artists they can feel each other inner force? but i'm not sure, it's either his father…
Hehe yup…I read the novel and now I’m dying…love seeing snippets from the novel and movement of the plot…I need all the eps now…if fast track is still around I would be calling in sick to binge and then rewatch binge 😅
i think between martial artists they can feel each other inner force? but i'm not sure, it's either his father…
😰 scared and excited…her dad, her brother…her injury…need to prepare tissue. And how will they play the angst/politically difference between FLX vs queen FXY
i find it interesting that wuyan final ambition is not to be emperor but to control from behind, he's not some…
Agreed! I applaud this change in the drama as the novel didn’t have much a clear villain throughout the story. It is easier to follow for a drama audience. Whereas the novel was really driven by 2 powerful and smart characters who wanted to unite the nation assuming their way is what is best for the whole. But I guess this is more true to human nature and historical events.
And guys can you spoil me about preview in eps 30. Some says its in the novel. So what happened and why is BFX…
It has been awhile since I read the novel but if I remember correctly:
In the novel, HCR asks BFX to pose as her to weed away some of the suitors. There is a beautiful scene of BFX playing the zither that I hope they show in the drama cuz we all know that Lusi plays the zither beautifully.
Also in the novel, HFX was heavily advised to proceed in a marriage of convenience with HCR. But at the last moment as he is about to win he admits to himself that he is unwilling to be with anyone but BFX and bows out. This is very different from the drama where HFX has been avidly pursuing BFX.
HC confession is in the novel but differs as he said he couldn’t commit to just one person as emperor. That part of the preview surprised me. As you may have guessed, this doesn’t fly with BFX who is deeply sedimental and idealistic with one and only love for life. She doesn’t even make this concession for HFX. Rather be apart than lonely and torn together.
At this time in the novel, BFX has not revealed her other identity. But that all changes as news of her father’s sickness comes shortly after this scene and all the epic moments comes rolling in.
Sorry today’s eps and preview got me too excited so I’m rambling and giving away too much spoilers. Sorry!
Side note…loving how the drama is starting to show the more complex side of BFX as FXY. But gahhhhh the undefeated calvary unit was hers in the novel!!! 😤

So his next confession doesn’t fail
Ward off those who try to woo her away
Oi….Our BFX is just too much of a troublemaker
Cute example: https://youtu.be/0VM1Jg-kzIA
If you are interested in who is dubbed: https://wiki.d-addicts.com/Who_Rules_The_World
Lusi is dubbed by the same actress who dubbed her in The Long Ballad. And luckily sounds roughly 70% like her.
However these sweet moments are also the same ones many people are complaining about saying that it does not move the story along.
