Yes absolutely! Wow wow wow…not many like playing the bad guy and be scolded left and right by the audience. But the entire antagonist lineup for this show really did an amazing job…their hard work really made all of us hate them :)

But YY & Lusi acting in this episode was near perfect to me. In the midst of these crazy events, Lusi’ acting skills shined…her numbing shock/sorrow/vulnerability …not overacting to such emotional scenes. And YY is again showing that he isn’t just a pretty face (hehe..don’t hate me but I was prejudiced before).
For the good and bad..this scene lingers in my head and distracting me from my work…haha that’s good entertainment : )

1. in the novel the others states think she’s sick (they basically used xiyun’s plot for lanxi in the drama)…
I might be one of the odd ones out but I like that they flipped the focus to character development and political conflict to HFX in the drama. BFX came from a perfect family and in the novel her biggest struggle was some minor acclimation to the throne/politics that was quickly resolved. Then everything was just angst with HFX and actual battles. HFX story and personality is more complicated. But I demand more screen time and coolness from BFX in the drama no matter the flip
Kinda still stuns me how her feelings towards HFX completely changed once she realized he was FLX... as in she…
I don’t think it was a sudden change either…they showed her gradual understanding of him and her coming to terms with her feelings for him slowly…very slowly in some people opinion 1st change…when she saw that the guards were saved from the fire 2nd change…when he said he too lost his mother at a young age …her knowing he is the prince did make the biggest impact because of how his family mistreated him…it made her understand why he has to be so secretive and distrusting ….how he treats his people…getting punished to near death instead of staying in hiding ….he told and showed her many times that he wants to unite the whole to bring peace and prosperity to the people And many more such instances as she stayed by his side …she came to feel for him as he slowly opened up to her And in doing so she said if he continues to do so she will always stay by his side HFX is the onion that makes BFX cry
So far, I love how this drama is proceeding but I’m rather scared for the end. It’s either going to be fast…
Yeah…this show needed a lot more episodes to do the war conflict justice. I wish they had the money, time and government leniency to extended episodes.
But I don’t hate any of the episodes they have broadcasted or extra stories that they added…especially the cute and understanding relationships with BFHX (relationship goal!)
Even the annoying angst with ML is ok for me…cuz it shows how human he is…no he cannot axe his family easily…no matter how nasty they are they are still family…yes there is a line but to not show when a “hero’s struggle”?
