Ps…outside of American movies…this is the 1st time I am excited for a show cuz of the director. The BTS shows him so excited, dedicated, fun, detailed and appreciative of the cast/crew. That must have been a high pressure but rewarding work environment that I hope will translate to the audience’s experience

Hou Lang, I believe is an original work so I have no context to judge it by.
But I think Lusi will bring the right amount of comedy and solemness to the subject.
I’m not as familiar with work of the other cast members. And I’m honestly disappointed with the SML casting…he may be good but I wanted someone more well known to bring their fan base in as the subject itself is under appreciated.
However, I applaud and will support the show for bringing awareness to eastern medicine…the younger generation are less and less aware or appreciative of it. If nothing else, I am grateful to the team for putting big money into a show about health care vs murder and mystery. During this sensitive time this type of drama is much needed in my opinion.

I actually really liked that the author added this detail. It didn’t add to the plot but it was how CSS expressed her unspoken thoughts and feelings. The description of hearing others hearing her flute playing at night…beautiful with her thoughts…I look forward to seeing how they incorporate this into the drama.
And also like that Lusi herself relates to this…shy and humble about her playing the guzheng but needing to play it to clear her thoughts

What about Steven Zhang…his performance in The Day of Becoming you was amazing….but his schedule is crazy. He’s flirty enough but not tall enough.
And for some weird reason I’m imagining Eden Zhao or Chen XingXu as the brother. If Ao Ruipeng looked a little older that would be awesome ...he has already nailed the constantly bickering brother of Lusi

I haven’t finished the book for LLTG (very descriptive) I actually found the writing style harder to read than WRTW (poetic).
But there is a 7 yr age gap with CSS and LB. …14 vs 21 when they 1st met.
CSS comes from a humble ranking military family and was raised in the country. She is open minded and comfortable with her speech with others but not at 1st with LB.
LB is the most beloved by the emperor even tho is just an adoptive son. His social status and achievements is imposing to all. He is considered the “male god” that all the women admire and want…even all the princesses. So CSS doesn’t seek LB attention and risk provoking the mob of angry women.
However, LB who has never given any other women the time of day, treats CSS differently and actively seeks her out…even trapping her into an engagement.
CSS even at that tender age encounters some gruesome bandits…who kidnaps, beats, rapes and eats the women in CSS company. Despite the crippling fear, CSS continues to be relatively calm and logical in these situations. When asked what she wants to do with her life in future…she is animated with all her plans to bring doctors together, build tools, make business efficient and life easier for all.
LB admires her oddities…I too and haven’t even finished the novel yet.
I like this for Lusi not just cuz it’s a S+ but it delivers meaningful themes. Leyan and BFX are both inspirational characters. I hope the scriptwriters also make CSS and Toutou into inspiration characters.
Good eye candy or slap stick entertainment is fun but “stories” that also inspires and moves you emotionally and mentally leave a lasting impression

7 yrs is nothing for Lusi. YY is 7. And come on Lu Jin from DITK was 18-19 yrs her senior. I was shocked but boy did they make it work.
However, I’m not confident in anything other than the fact that they are making this adaptation. For who will be FL we might know soon or after the start shootings ;)

Oh and webtoon is very cute…slow development but cute…also spin-off is cute too

Hmmm 🤔 LLTG and Hou Lang - she couldn’t have chosen better seriously.
LLTG we will have another smart, strong and independent FL with a more reserved and gentle approach than BFX.
Hou Lang - she is a fun, willful but chivalrous girl who learns her purpose in life and works hard to cure not just others but herself.
So I honestly don’t have a preferred genre for her.
I too don’t like Xianxia much and would like Lusi to wait a bit more for our memory of BFX to fade before she takes that role…unless she goes at it as the anti-hero..

Bottom line…we need a good story, strong ML and dedicated director like here in LLTG to help shine more light on Lusi
