I told y'all Bai Lu is a copycat and copies everything queen Zhao Liying does. Here is the evidence:https://www.upmedia.mg/news_info.php?Type=196&SerialNo=232033
didn't know that bai lu is a photographer and graphic designer who's in charge of designing the posters ...
I just find the ML's acting abit stiff, expressionless and boring. Bailu usually will have great chemistry with…
expressionless? his eyes are full of conflicting emotions whenever he looks at FL and their chemistry is amazing. i expected their chemistry to not be as good bc i saw their interviews and they came across as besties but in the drama their dynamic is so tense and emotional. so yeah i disagree with u
If we look at all of her micro expressions across episodes, I think she is indeed lying. Diabolical if so, and…
i was paying attention to that bc i suspected she might be pretending but i never really felt sure, except during the moment with ling'er in front of the mirror - that part made me feel sus that she knew more than she pretended. but then again, it wouldn't make sense to why ling'er was explaining it all to her if she was just pretending...
I've binge-watched the first 6 episodes and while I'm enjoying it, I was definitely expecting more from the trailers. What's disappointing to me personally is the childish FL falling in love at first sight, which is imo a very lazy trope that has been done too many times. I don't mind an immature FL but she still needs to have some spine, as for example the young FL in Love of the Divine tree. But here, the FL puts up with anything the ML does, even when he mistreats her or is physically abusive, she doesn't question it or stand up to him, but instead behaves like a 12 year old who has a huge illogical crush on a cute guy. I have hopes that they'll move on to flashbacks soon or she'll remember her past life soon so that we get to the mature hateful FL, because otherwise this will be SUCH a let down. I also absolutely hate the makeup :((( it's so bad, what have they done to beautiful BaiLu :(((
On a positive note, I still enjoy BaiLu's acting and charisma, and I love her chemistry with the ML. Jospeh Zeng seems to be a great actor, I feel like he conveys so much emotions in his eyes. His emotion is the reason why I'm still watching, bc otherwise it would be pretty boring. I gave up on Moonlight Mystique bc the ML was terribly flat and plot made no sense, and not even BaiLu could make me watch it. I also think Feud reminds me a bit of Love of the Divine Tree only that in Feud it seems like they really did have a feud/hate-relationship instead of just a misunderstanding/sacrifice for love like in LOTDT.
Can someone explain to me if Jiang Xu is the Emperor's brother or son? The Emperor seems too young to be his father. And the three friends of Jiang Xu, are they all princes? - so, are they brothers or cousins or something? I didn't understand why they were all a consideration to marry Ming Tan in the first episodes - are they all from noble families or all they all princes/royal family?
Yas, she should honestly work with this styling again, such a classics beauty! Like finally, a beauty playing…
and also, she seems naturally pretty and not like an "Instagram-face" actress, like so many others. Especially for these period dramas natural faces fit much better.
I really wonder why Chen Feiyu chose this project since this script is just....terrible?? Someone on Twitter said he hasn't posted anything about the drama on his social media and that hasn't happened before..... Judging from his other projects, he seems to choose diverse roles and interesting scripts. I've heard of writers changing the scripts impulsively so maybe that's what happened here? Or it sounded better on paper than how it ended up executed? I'M JUST SO CONFUSED why would he choose this type of ML :/
I really tried to watch for chen feiyu but i'm officially dropping it! Saving my remaining brain cells! Trying to find a new drama to watch is hard. Anyone watched City of Romance? Is it good?
After watching ep 19: 1) Wasn't it super inappropriate for the ML to take drunk FL simply to his house???? I mean, not even for Chinese standards, but universally speaking. A man does not take a drunk woman to his place without her consent, ex-girlfriend or not. Especially when she's mad at you and she just told you she didn't feel comfortable going to your place. And then when she wakes up, he simply tells his driver "take her to her hotel" proving how easily he could've sent her to her hotel the day before. Sorry but that was a weird move from ML.... 2) What the HELL is wrong with FL?? Ok so your ex broke up with you and "cheated" on you, I get it. You were mad. But you don't have any sense of ethics? Who would break a man's whole dream down, everything that he worked hard for, just for your own career? That is extremely incorrect behavior, I personally wouldn't even do that to my enemies. Like, that is just low. The fact that she still hasn't given up on this "project" makes the FL into a villain for me. And I'm not a girl hater or anything, I'm a feminist, but we still have to be normal and have morality. She's acting like a super villain. Also, why is she making up weird lies about still being married and all that stuff? Like girl, it's been 6 years. If you don't want to be with him just focus on business but why play these weird games??
Another thing, why the hell is ML still in love with her? After all of this? Is he a masochist or something. Jesus...it's pmo!! lol sorry for my rant

Now I really want to read the essays
