I was totally on the same page with what you said, I enjoy how they're dealing with the theme of trauma and how to heal from that. I don't mind that she's calm and introverted, and I like her and relate to her. I just felt like once they confessed they behaved as if they were 13 year olds - not just her tbqh! I know it's probably a cultural thing, but it's just very off putting, especially for a couple who not only know each other for a decade but who have been living under the same roof, usually you end up developing some type of intimacy (even platonic!) and naturalness. That's my only issue.

I don't mind slowly building a relationship or slow burn, I just don't enjoy the childlike behavior, but I'll still watch it as I've been enjoying the first half of the drama a lot, just felt a sudden disappointment once the story evolved, but maybe I'll like the rest of it.
I know it's an unpopular opinion, but I felt suddenly bored when they got together :/ I'm still going to keep watching for now but I felt like the build up was amazingly done but when it actually came to them finally confessing and getting together, it fell kinda flat idk it didn't live up to the tension and build up that they had. I'm also getting increasingly annoyed at the exaggerated shyness of the FL - like yes I get it, she has past trauma and all that but she's been living with Sang Yan for almost a year under the same roof now, she obviously feels safe around him and she's in love with him. Why does she act like a nervous 12 year old every time she's close to him even after they got together??? I know this is the Chinese "idealized female standard" in romance dramas, to portray women as these pure untouched childlike angels, but it just pisses me off bc it's so unrealistic :/ you have a boyfriend who's such a simp for you, does everything to make you happy, looks good and you want to tell me that all this grown woman wants to do is run and hide in her bedroom???? Ugh.....
Finally watched this because I wanted to watch the First Frost and decided to watch HL first, and also I love Zhao Lusi - but well, this was a case of extreme overrated drama that doesn't live up to the hype for me. I think I would've LOVED this as a teenage girl and I think this is the target audience as this is a very fluffy, cutesy drama but I had several issues with it that kept me from enjoying it more. I did really enjoy some parts, to be fair! But I had to skip all the teenage / high school scenes because I found it cringe and the age gap was weird. I also think the way they had Zhao Lusi act childlike was over the top. And then once the FL was in college it definitely got a lot better but the FL was such an unlikeable character to be honest :/ I really wanted to like her bc Zhao Lusi is so cute and I love her, but they made the FL be such a spoiled girl...all her friends flock around her but you rarely see her helping her friends or show any interest in their lives. She was kind to the ML but that's it. I wish they would've crafted a richer personality for her, something that could make her more relatable and kinder. The one scene where she was very relatable and Zhao Lusi acted it perfectly was when she got drunk, I really liked that part. But otherwise, I feel like the ML was way more likeable and as a girl's girl I would've enjoyed it more if the female character had been more three-dimensional..but anyways, I think for younger audience it's really cute.
2026? I'm not sure why Byeon Woo Seok's team didn't take advantage of the momentum of his breakout success with Lovely Runner... to only have him star in new work 2 years after LR?? I think they wanted to pair him with a top tier actress, which they succeeded as IU is super popular, but I don't get this career strategy. He's only doing fashion gigs as far as I know.. Anyway...Can't wait for this, i hope it'll be worth the wait!
