Tbh, I agree with you. Her beauty is different from "ideal" type of goddess beauty. I think she is more in the sweet/cute type. Actually I was surprised they chose Ren Min for this big role with Xiao Zhan. She is still new and very young actress.

But, i am happy for her that she got a very very rare chance to get the role like this + acting with big star like XZ.

I heard ppl said this is not tencent self produced drama. The production company is Siba and they are going to bankrupt. That's why it explained the low budget and bad CGI. So i think, this is not S drama.

CGI affected my mood to watch. I have dropped some of xianxia/fantasy bcs of their cheap/ridiculous CGI. I think people said the production company is not tencent for this drama. It's Siba and they are going to bankrupt. That's why this drama is like low budget. So, tencent is only acted as the streaming platform in this case. It's different with tencent S+ project.

Youku is still hit and miss for me. They are sometimes great, but they are sometimes bad. For cinematography, iQiyi is still better than the other platforms even though their budget is not extremely super like Tencent or Youku. IQiyi also can make more stable quality and progress for their dramas.

Tencent still has The Longest Promise for this summer. Let's see how things would be changed or not.

Yeah. You pointed the weakness of Tencent. They have more budget than other platforms but they often executed it in cheap looking. Idk where is the budget to make it more classy. Especially CGI for xianxia.

IQiyi usually have lower budget than S+ project from Tencent but iQiyi executed it in great way. The cinematography is amazing + the screen ratio is like the movie. The costume and setting are also well prepared and looked so real. The CGI for xianxia is also very beautiful (LBFAD).

But sometimes, Tencent also can executed some of their S+ dramas in a great way. But they are not xianxia. For example Love Like The Galaxy, A Dream of Splendour, Three Body Problem, Sword Snow Stride, Joy Of Life, etc.

Really? The CGI is like other S+ xianxia drama? Or is it really bad?

Yes. ADOS is a pretty drama but it's boring xD and AvenueX acted like that drama is the best in the whole universe just because she loved Chen Xiao and Liu Yi Fei. She is very biased to her fave actresses/actors.

Yes. For example. She glorified A Dream of Splendour sooo muchh and talked trash to other dramas. I think ADOS storyline is pretty okay but nothing special like she boasted/hyped about. I also didnt feel much chemistry from the leads. Their love story is pretty boring for me. I was only amazed by its production design + beautiful culture n costumes + Liu Yi Fei beauty.

But her comment to this drama is pretty absurd. She said about grooming when the ML is just 5 years older than FL.

I can understand that opinion if the age gap is more than 15 years. But he is only 5 years older? I think it's pretty normal right? Many real couples also have this kind of age gap, or even more.

Actually, at the beginning, i still can tolerate her critics and rants for some dramas. Sometimes I agreed to her points, sometimes I disagreed. So I still have my filter on unlike her blind followers who said yes to every comments she made. I keep it in my mind that it's a subjective thing. She can like or dislike as she wants. Everyone taste is different. I know it very well...but...

....she is too MUCH these days. Idk if she wanted to make "hate movement" to some actors/actresses but she is too "over" until i can't tolerate it anymore. I skipped some of her rants videos about my fave dramas because her rants are too silly for me. It's not even a problem but she made it into problem. Now, I understand why so many ppl here hate her especially after ZZH japanese shrine case.

And, she uploaded the rant videos like a marathon from last week. All new dramas. Including this drama, Destined, and A Date From The Future. So her problem is so various. She is very hard to please. She complained for almost everything even though it's not even a big deal for most of people. She also affected some of her followers to skip many dramas bcs of her biased thought.

Oh right! She also ranted TTEOTM in that time. I skipped her video about TTEOTM bcs i was lazy to hear that. But i heard she said something like the drama gave fantasy game vibes LOL actually i am curious what else she said about TTEOTM? I really don't want to play her video myself. It pissed me off sometimes.
