Hi. Can you explain politics vs war vs romance. How many percentage is it in the drama?I skimmed watch some earlier…
Nirvana in Fire is a masterpiece. You should watch it.
Both S1 and S2 are so incredible. It's the best strategy politics drama until now especially season 1. No one has beaten Nirvana in Fire yet. I highly highly recommended you to watch them.
Yes it contained a lot of politics talk but it's very exciting and smart. This is the game of thrones with extremely clever way. Mei Chang Su from NIF is the smartest strategist ever exist in asian dramaland. He can make a lowly rank prince who never get the place in the emperor eyes become a highly intelligent prince who achieved the prestige in both military and politics. Then guess what? The position of Crown Prince is very reachable thanks to Mei Chang Su briliant moves and strategies. They take down the other princes and political enemies one by one. Mei Chang Su prepare the way for his chosen prince so that he can be a emperor in the end.
Mei Chang Su once said to Prince Jing "Your Highness, All you need to do is walk straight to the throne. For obstacles that appeared in the way, I will make it clean for you."
"Clean" in this context is not all about killing enemies. But Mei Chang Su observed all the possibilities and weakness of his opponent. He even can arrange situation so the enemies will fall in his trap. He also can bait the enemies to fall to their own greediness and flaws. And he enjoyed the view with his tea.
Hi. Can you explain politics vs war vs romance. How many percentage is it in the drama?I skimmed watch some earlier…
Yes he watched both chinese and korean dramas. Historical and modern. But he loves chinese period costume drama more.
He once said Joseon drama is kinda boring because of heavy politics with old ministers gathering without action. That's why he likes chinese historical dramas more with many game of thrones between princes and WAR/BATTLE scenes. He also loves Wuxia drama.
So, this is my concern. I doubt he will like this type of war turned into drawings. It's really a pity. Because other chinese dramas are not lazy like this one. They shoot the actual wars with real people. Soldiers, Sword, Arrows, Blood, Horses, The flames of Battle, etc are very important in historical war dramas. Especially this drama got S+ budget and epic story to create greatest war.
Btw TLB ep 15 is good. I love Ashina Sun's mask + white eagle costume. At least they put more effort in costumes.

Yep. I saw them too.
It's very visible that they were playing safe (maybe it was required to pass the censorship like the drawings showed us that this is just an adaptation from comic. Fyi, TLB got historical distortion issue before). Plus they can reduce more CGI cost and even the "action" cost. But this is Tencent S+ drama. They got number one resources and tons of money.
This drama got perfect story to create epic war drama. So it's really a pity.
Some ppl loved the manhwa, but I come to watch live action. Otherwise, I will just read the manhwa directly if I want many drawings.
It's impossible for now. Deng Lun got tax evasion case in China. So iQiyi can't air this drama because Chinese…
I just want Deng Lun, Fan Bing Bing, Zhao Wei, and even Zhang Zhe Han got the second chance.
Human is imperfect. They can make mistakes. 2nd chance is a normal thing.
ZZH case is all about japanese shrine scandal. Some ppl said ZZH got trapped by other party. But idk. I don't understand what's going on with his case. It's not even a criminal act like tax evasion.

Thx for the answer.
I have no problem with slow burn romance. Period costume Cdramas with many game of thrones, politics and martial arts usually have slowburn romance because the main plot is another thing. It's totally different with idol romance drama in historical setting.
I totally love war scenes. But some ppl said it turned into manhwa that ruined the mood.
She rants about everything lol. There are much better and in depth channels out there that people can tune into…
Lol yup. You also follow her channel?
She is hard to please. For sure. She is a technical person (she worked in chinese entertainment before) so her perspective is quite different with general audiences.
She pissed me off back then because she said something bad about Love & Redemption. And many ppl also disagree with her. For me L&R is 10/10 for amazing story n chemistry between YBY and Cheng Yi.
Here I am again. Just finished rewatching TLB for the second time and the excitement feels the same. The BEST…

I skimmed watch some earlier eps and I hardly saw Dilraba n Leo Wu in many scenes. I understand they were in hiding for earlier eps. But it seems like, this drama moves toward politics more? I saw so many old men took over the scenes in first 10 eps.
I hope it's not like historical korean drama who always gathers the old ministers to create the evil plans. They just talk and talk without action. And it's freaking boring.

But idk with my dad. He is so critical about anything. Especially he really loves martial arts genre + war/battle scenes.
I bet he would complain about the drawings 🙄

I love martial arts. That's why it would be so unprofessional if they turned all war actual scenes with drawings.

I like them both. I use simplified mandarin so I can write the words easier. But for beauty and admiration, I still prefer the traditional hanzi one.
Like 爱 vs 愛 Ai (Love) is more beautiful in traditional character.

However, the perfect mandarin dialect as the standard mandarin is the Beijing accent one.
Idk how pure taiwanese mandarin that you meant. But ppl always say that taiwanese mandarin got distinct southern dialect.
I learned mandarin since I was a little. But it's the national accent one.
How about Xu Kai cantonese dialect? Did it affect his mandarin speaking?
