I am definitely your opposite. I dont like E-Sports. I want to watch Falling into your smile just because of Xu Kai, Cheng Xiao and their romance only.
But I love (real) sports themed dramas. Especially from C-drama. They are better than K-drama in sports genre.
But for Medical genre and Law/Thriller/Mystery/Detective genre, K-Drama is still the best in that field.

They should use the real cruise instead of poor cruise CGI. Its a shame that this drama got a very high potential. But their CGI is laughable and ruined my experience. Especially the unnecessary "space n time" CGI. They can just jump the scenes (like in later eps) without showing that rainbow visualization.

I dont agree with you. C-drama got more consistent vibes than K-drama. There is so many good dramas this year.
Are you excluding "Love Like The Galaxy" and "A Dream of Splendor"? That dramas are also doing very great this year, not only LBFAD and IS. The plot is also very good and consistent. "Who Rules The World" is also a very decent wuxia-palace drama.
For modern romance, C-Drama "Falling into You" is great + hot kisses. 26 eps no draggy2 plot. It also received many positive reviews. "Love in Time" is also great. Solid beginning and ending. It's very consistent. One of the best Sweet On 2022 besides LBFAD. "Lighter n Princess" is very hot these days. Many ppl give positive responses about that.
For thriller and mystery, "Reset" got great time-looping story and it was only 15 eps. "Under The Skin" also had very unique and great plot. Even "Strange Tales of Tang Dynasty" was also very good.
Or you want the newest period costume drama? Try the current on going C-Drama of Bai Jing Ting "New Life Begins". It is very good one.

Yeah i am also glad they cut eps shorter. They would show more unnecessary filler scenes if they didnt cut it. Plus i am not a fan of overacting slapstick comedy even though i expected this one would be similar to funny "Chief Kim". But the comedy is more cringe instead of funny. For me.

Oh, this is from Heart Surgeons writers? No wonder it messed up in the end. Heart Surgeons was also like that. They did a strong start, losing the focus in the middle and finally, tadaaa a great chaos in the end.

This is a perfect Ming Dynasty costume drama. Well written scripts, great building setting, beautiful atmosphere, wonderful outdoor scenery, and chinese culture heritage.

Btw second master Ren Ru Feng got some resembles with Xu Kai. It reminds me of Xu Kai from Yanxi Palace.
