Besides draggy plot and cliche troupes, one of the problem from modern romance cdramas is side couples (2nd, 3rd or even 4th couple) just to extend the number of eps and they robbed so many screentimes from main couple. It happened a lot to many other dramas. Not only this drama.

IMO Sky Castle is not really full makjang unlike Penthouse. The series was so good. It involved mystery of death + how A class people give the best tutor for their child.

Yes. Its the reason i dont like him playing romance dramas. He can play another genre if he doesnt want to kiss his co-star. Nowadays he kissed the actresses but its sooo stiff and awkward. When You Be Me also did something similar. In the end for WYBM, its just a scifi simulation for "What If ML n FL swapped bodies like that". Its like a game simulation. There is a scifi device to do that. In reality, the ML even barely know the FL. It was such a disappoinment.
Pearl, you should watch further eps when it got subtitles. I saw some of their kisses in between eps 17-24. And it looks fine. I think they didnt kiss in ep 16, someone shouted at them and they were suddenly distracted by the noise.
I saw birthday kiss in ep 18, public kiss in front of people and wedding kiss + night kiss. It looks good. I found them all in twitter coz i dont want spend money for extra eps without subs lol

Allen Ren used to be a "not bad" kisser in Glory of Tang Dynasty before he is married. It was decent kisses with Jing Tian.
But todays Allen Ren's kissing is very bad. At least, he already kissed his co-star himself after the controversy of lip double in Under The Power and Ms Crow n Mr Lizard. He was so stiff in Forever n Ever and The Blue Whisper. Its a pity that Bai Lu is a good kisser like she did in Love is Sweet (with Luo Yun Xi) n other dramas.
Dilraba is also a good kisser, look at her hot kisses in You Are My Glory (with Yang Yang). But when she acted with Allen Ren, the kiss scenes were so weird and stiff.
