Then I tried 2 eps because of one comment above from MKC. The result? The drama cant connect with me. So i dropped it. Some ppl commented again and I just explain my opinions why I dropped it. I was not whinning for nothing. I just answer my reason honestly to someone who said "If you dont have dramas lined up, then just try to watch it until ep 4". Then thats my answer. I dont spread hate on anything.
See with your eyes, I just replied people who commented my thread. At the first, I was only asking about 1 hr 20 min duration because MDL wrote them but it turned out not every eps is that long. I just need that answer. Some ppl here can answer my comment wisely and mature. They liked this show but they didnt attack my disagreement with this drama. But suddenly, you jumped in and attacked me with sour comment, its what we called "You Stir the Pot". Try to accept other ppl opinions before attack them. Not everyone is obligated to LIKE every shows that you liked.

Dont say they said it had technical issue because suddenly the censorship wanna cut short all the hot kissing scenes.
This is WHY chinese drama issue is always censorship and also long episodes. They will examine it very longgg again because of the number of eps. Then we need to wait until 2023.
Tencent should release this drama from 2021. Before NRTA and CCP made more complicated rules.

You know the editing for first 2 eps are very bad. It not switch smoothly between scenes after scenes. Sometimes the monologues felt like a bad rip-off from Our Beloved Summer. It fit very perfectly in OBS because of documentary plot but it turned out very weird in The Law Cafe.
Plus i cant stand its high brightness and pinkish filter especially for flashbacks. And its even brighter than c-drama color palette.
I saw the kissing scenes and they were very good. But it alone cant make me keep watching. We have currently so many on going law kdramas. Why kdramas nowadays always connect anything with legal themes. I prefer spent my time on other kdrama genres and cdramas right now. So i dropped it already.

I have watched the first 2 eps and it didnt connect with me. Usually I love romcom n legal dramas. But i cant connect with this one. So i dropped it alrdy.

For 1 hr 20 min, Actually I dont mind the long duration as long as its interesting like Vicenzo and Mouse.
Hey, its a usual eps number of chinese dramas. So many contemporary dramas got 30-40 eps.
Dont worry about how the dramas filled the story.
Dont forget about 2nd couple, 3rd couple or even 4th couple troupe + unnecessary side story n conflict. So they will have something to tell more besides main couple + plot.
I am both cdramas n kdramas watcher. So i know how they filled the eps number with side stories. Kdramas also had this kind of troupe even though they didnt overuse it like in modern chinese dramas.

They asked ppl who commented negative about this drama to DROP it. Basically they just kicked out some viewers who didnt like this drama. But when i was saying that I dropped it. They came at me and said "You should watch it and judge yourself". Hello? I dont like it from ep 1, they told ppl to drop when they didnt like this drama, but, in contradictive, they told me to pick it up again when I already showed them clearly this drama is not for me from the beginning.
This is the result of the certain actors toxic fans. You can still see the war between fans vs normal viewers who just commented the show honestly in todays comment section

Yes. Thats the factor that made the drama become draggy. Side couples and unnecessary side characters conflict.
The reason from producer view : Money. The platform usually buy the drama per eps format. So more episodes = more money. They paid it per eps. So its a good money if drama can extend to the maximum eps as 40 eps *roll eyes* thats why the screen writer created unnecessary side couple from 2nd until 3th or even 4th.

Kdrama writers tend to have better writing skill for modern drama. Especially for various genre besides romance. I still believe the best of cdrama is still the period costume, historical and martial arts/wuxia/xianxia genre. They have enough materials to write the better script unlike the modern one.
We can even count how many good written modern cdramas. Lets put aside the actors and actresses popularity. We can judge it alone with quality of script.
