Its korean term for soap opera category with cheating, love affairs, rich poor people conflicts, money games, crying n screaming, evil mother in laws, switch birth, lost twins, betrayed each other, amnesia, resurrect from death, face changes and ofc REVENGE lol
Another makjang? 😠why kdramas nowadays always give the makjang vibes in exclusive series like Remarriage n Desires, Eve, Mine, Reflection of You, etc.
Okay. Besides vietnam war controversy, some people in MDL and twitter called this drama is a makjang, second penthouse, and stupid characters.
Wow. Its all the factors that I am avoiding the most. But actually i am still curious about this show because of the "mixed" negative and positive hype from people.
Big news or Fake news?Link or it doesn't happen. What cultural appropriation? What the hell are you talking about?
Okay. I am a fan of both cdramas and kdramas. So i can give my neutral opinion here coz I love them both equally.
About kdramas, lets admit it. They indeed reached global success until today. Not only Squid Game, but many kdramas are reaching the highest peak of international appreciation. We can see many international platforms like Netflix, Disney, VIU, Viki, Kocowa, and even CHINESE platforms like iQiyi and WeTV also bought so many kdramas licenses. Plus, Korean also has Kpop and Webtoon who also successfully invaded the global market. Its all fact, right "nosnoop"? So "Empress Weiyoung" is indeed a troll who mocked nothing. She just wanna spread hate here. Not all cdramas fans are like her. Many users in MDL are both cdramas n kdramas watcher. Including me.
For Chinese dramas, "nosnoop", let me give you some facts. Cdramas got huge significant progress in their industry since around 2015 until now. Yes, their biggest market is still China and Asia. But they are invading the global market slowly now. The most popular cdramas who hit international success in the beginning was Journey of Flower (2015), Nirvana in Fire (2015), Eternal Love (2017), Ashes of Love (2018) and The Untamed (2019). They were a hit in international market. Even Korean n Japan national TV also bought the license to air them. Because the big success of cdramas I mentioned above, especially The Untamed, it opened more access for other cdramas to enter international market.
Chinese platforms like iQiyi and Tencent/WeTV made international app so people outside China can access cdramas easier and they get decent multiple subtitles from many languages. Netflix also bought some popular cdrama licenses, like The Untamed, Ashes of Love, Goodbye My Princess, Word of Honor, The Kings Avatar, Love O2O, The Rise of The Phoenixes, etc.
Netflix also bought recent cdramas who got international success like Who Rules The World and Love Between Fairy and Devil. Many successful cdramas are from Historical drama, Period Costume drama, Wuxia, Fantasy, and Xianxia genre. Because cdramas are still the best in period costume and martial arts field.
For modern dramas, Korean is still number one in this field. But some modern chinese dramas also got international success like Love O2O, You Are My Glory, Oath of Love, Falling into Your Smile, My Girlfriend is Alien, Crush, etc.
Many international viewers in MDL watched chinese dramas and it already proved us that cdramas also got a place in international market. Plus more platforms also aired cdramas besides IQiyi n WeTV, like Netflix, Disney, Viki and VIU.
So, my conclusion, i dont see the reason why Empress Weiyoung was mocking kdramas when she absolutely knew all the facts I said above. Both kdramas and cdramas are both competing in international market in healthy way. So lets just support our faves without degrading each other. I love both of kdramas n cdramas, and I will continue to support them.
Fake kiss scenes? What do u mean? I have watched so many romance dramas for both cdramas n kdramas. And they always…
I think you should watch Be My Princess for kiss scenes, the kisses are similar like You Are My Glory. I think its 2022 release. The kisses are good especially in ep 14. Its so hot there.

Who rules the world got decent kisses. I watched it. Especially in the wedding night. I dont think its cut out or cut short.
A dream of splendor got one decent kiss in the night. It happened when Chen Xiao pushed Liu Yi Fei to the wood pillar and they started to kissed each other. But I dont like their kiss scene in the boat. Its too stiff.
LBFAD got some kisses, but i agree with you, they cut the kiss scenes shorter. Especially for ep 35. There is bts for that. My Sassy Princess also didnt have kiss under water. But all other kisses are available in the drama.

Hmmm I dont think so. You can see many real hot kisses from You Are My Glory, Falling into your smile, Love Scenery, Love is Sweet, Be My Princess, etc. Even this drama (See You Again) got many decent kisses.
They kissed for real with mouth gestures and they didnt cut it. I watch many cdramas btw and i am always looking forward for kiss scenes. Ofc. I love them.
Cdramas kisses are even better than kdramas. But some kdramas also have great hot kisses like Whats Wrong Secretary Kim, Her Private life, Nevertheless, and etc.
....with express packages ofc XD
Lmao....iQiyi tried to implement Tencent strategic marketing.
EDIT : I dont need to buy any express packages, thanks to the damn spoiler without tag below 😑🙄😒
My dad also said Xukai has similar features with CEW lol especially when Xukai was playing in Falling Into Your Smile. He is soooo handsome.
Is it because of huge success of The Penthouse?
But Disney, i am not really sure about it. They just add new exclusive license kdramas and some old dramas in between 2015-2019.

I think L&R n AOL are still the best in xianxia genre. They are better than Immortal Samsara in my opinion.

Btw I saw you watchlist, i am surprised you dont watch Ashes of Love n Love & Redemption?

If you wanna try the modern romance cdramas, I suggested to watch "You Are My Glory", "Falling Into Your Smile", and "Crush". Its nice for the start.
Dont worry, no force. I just want to say the title in case you wanna try it someday.
