She was very good in The World of the Married, which had a really great script. But I've dropped two other dramas in which she was the FL. I think it isn't so much her acting as her choice of dramas. Soppy, depressing romance and extreme violence and sadism just don't appeal to me. Nevertheless, I like the idea of 2 FLs, so I'll give her new drama a chance.
Best historical c-drama I've watched to date. Wu Jin-yan really knows how to pick 'em, and she's utterly mesmerizing in this one, helped by her best ML to date. The chemistry between those two is unsurpassed. The ending left room for a second season, and I hope it happens. Love the camera work; love the actors facing the camera in close-ups; love the slightly over-the-top, stylized acting and directing. Because I like historical dramas that make me think that I'm watching something that happened a very, very long time ago. Just my opinion.

I’m not sure a 3 week hiatus is a smart move when people are starting to really get invested.
SBS knew this would happen because of the Olympics. Perhaps they're thinking that this is the series that could hook enough serious viewers that when the series starts up again in a couple of weeks they'll tune in to find out what happens.
that’s from the mom’s perspective. for the kid, whoever spent more quality time with her is who she needs.…
That's all true. And the mom should learn her lesson from this. But we shouldn't forget that the husband is the cheater and his mistress has an agenda. They're ganging up on the mom so they can get alimony from her by accusing HER of cheating. Anyone else pissed off about that?
This is a beautifully written and acted drama for adults. It taught me a lot about the Korean educational system and how the "academy" business is just as competitive and cut throat as any other business. 10/10
what pisses me off most about this 3 week break is they have known about the Paris Olympics start and end date…
I agree. But maybe they thought once audiences were hooked they'd remember to come back to it in 3 weeks. Even so, I think the stars will have to go on social media to woo audiences back.
Nara said on Instagram that the next episode is on tonight at 10 p.m. after the Olympics. SBS probably received…
Sorry. I feel sorry for the cast. They put so much effort into promoting the drama, and now they'll have to get viewers to watch it again after a 3-week break and competition from new dramas. SBS should issue a public apology to the Good Partners creative team and to fans of the drama for their terrible program planning.
I love it. Never a dull moment. The two leads work brilliantly together from a uniformly excellent script. I wish there were more dramas with Zhang Yue-nan in the leading role. She deserves it.
I still haven't recovered from Scarlet Heart. Should've been called Bloody Heartbreaking C-Drama. Liu Shi-shi's brilliant acting is the only thing that kept me watching until the bitter end.
