Song is a cool bro agreed, I like him. But I have a question about his hairstyle. I do not see it often on males in the few modern cdramas that I have watched. Cropped hair for men instead of the usual floppy hair with bangs, is this a marker, perhaps (like he's in a punk band or some rebel dude)?

I especially loved the scene where SY's mom is showing him the white shirt AND ends up wearing his backpack. LOL. I can't imagine my mom doing the same, she never approved of mine (she thought women ought to carry purses instead ha ha!).

She started out as a stuck-up young woman on the elevator but slowly, I hope she redeems herself and find true value in hard-work as an intern. That is what internships are all about. I am rooting for this side character as well as SY's side-kick. They may seem shallow at first but here's hoping that even side characters get some growth, too.

I wanted to watch all episodes but only 5 were available. Ha ha.

I really love their "meet cute" -- SY is attracted to JB because her work made him see his father differently and appreciate the valuable work that he does. She inspired him to be a better young person. This is the major draw for me.

Got it. I ran the search a third time. With "Sean Xiao" he is indeed the top search. He is listed as Xiao Zhan though, and as the link you provided shows, he is (still) Xiao Zhan. Lol.

I tried searching and XZ is number 6 in the results after I typed his name (tried both, in lower case, then in upper case). So strange, MDL's algorithms.

Hi @Moonrise I am not young anymore, but still active. I was climbing trees to pick mangoes from the trees last summer. Grams is not around anymore to beat me lol, and I get to enjoy the fruits of my labor, literally.

ZY is young and wild and free. She didn't always make the best choices and she wasn't a very fast learner but she tried very hard. In the end, she made Shifu proud, yes? That matters.

Yes yes, I had bruises from falling plus additional bruising from corporal punishment. But did that stop me from climbing trees or misbehaving? Noooo. I relate to ZY's shenanigans. Reckless, stubborn, etc etc. I loved ZY because I saw the old me in her. :)

Good to see you again, @janec and thanks for this. Not everyone who visit MDL know history this far back. I started to watch XZ in 2019, too but it took longer for me to connect with other XZ enthusiasts (or fans, insert term-of-choice here). :)

I keep waiting for it to appear on the first page of MDL's "Top Airing Shows" -- currently Divine Destiny number 5 at only 7.7. TLP isn't showing anymore. It never made it. Ah well.
