That's true. I felt my heart break because he longed for her so much but she was very true to the role that society demanded of her. He still had a playful and carefree side to him despite being the CP at the time but she was already very rigidly trained for her future role requirements.
Wow the intro for episode 2 is beautiful 🖼🥰And the 2nd episode better than the first. I'm hooked 🤗I've…
I agree, he's doing a great job so far playing both sides...the angsty half mad half drowned in sorrow King, he seems to have a personality shift every evening when the "ghosts" come out to drag him back into his sorrows. He almost seems normal during other times of the day, even if he's obviously suffering severe sleep deprivation.
I've watched this series multiple times and it always makes me bawl, episode 7 is a big cry for me as well as a few other big plot moments that I won't spoil. I have to say that the characters are well developed, the plot moves along pretty well, and this is one of my go-to dramas when I need a good cry. Fair warning, this is a drama with two characters who are ill so don't get too attached.
This series has a lot of things that could make it interesting and new but it seems to really relish falling back into very predictable and recycled plots. Sometime it's fine because it seems to poke fun at itself and other times it leaves the viewers bored. I would honestly not put this on my watchlist if you haven't already started and invested time in it. I'm on episode 20, just marking time til the final 4 episodes are subbed and then I'll promptly forget about this series.
right?!? He's looking super adorable in this drama. In You Are My Hero he looked handsome but in this one he looks…
He's got some scheduled for filming already this next year but I think only 1 of them looks like what I like to watch, but then again you never know...if its a good enough story I could get suckered into watching things way outside my wheelhouse 😂
One of my first favorites when I just started watching C-dramas. Nothing else came close to it in my heart and so I rewatched this probably about a dozen times. After the first few times watching it I skipped the annoying set up episodes when FL was at the most childish and clingy, she very quickly matured out of that so if that's turning you off from watching the series I highly recommend hanging on and keep going. You don't need to watch Ten Miles of Peach Blossoms, in fact, I recommend watching this first so you don't have any preconceptions of Dong Hua and Bai Feng Jui's characters because they are quite different and their story is very different in this vs TMPB.
Me everytime bai jing ting’s on screen: you’re sooo cuteee
right?!? He's looking super adorable in this drama. In You Are My Hero he looked handsome but in this one he looks cute. Hard for me to believe he's almost 30 since he looks about 5-7 years younger than that.
Yo Yo tv but only for subscription viewers. It is $1.99 a month
I found that its being released on YoYo English youtube channel, one episode a day with english subs, so far up to episod 26. You can access the remaining ones earlier if you want to pay the 1.99 a month :/
Bai Jing Ting is almost 30 years old but he looks sooooo young that I'm totally jealous of his good genes. He's super adorable and I've loved being introduced to his works.
Also any one else getting secret-evil-mastermind vibes from Zhengs teacher?
I don't think he's evil, I think he's been prompting and supporting Zheng for a long time because he saw the potential that he has to be great. He does want Zheng to be more proactive in the pursuit of the heir apparent position, but I think he does it because he genuinely believes that Prince Zheng is the best guy for the job and not because as his teacher he'll expect to receive power or a position of authority as a kickback when Zheng reaches the throne.
The site I'm watching this on only has about half of it subbed with english, is there a place that everyone is watching this that has the whole series subbed?
It was a pretty big scandal several months ago that ended up being determined to be false charges and maybe an issue with fans on weibo trying to bring down Xing Zhao Lin in favor of a different celebrity. Once the government got involved all those posts and even posts in support of XZL were all deleted. Basically its been scrubbed off China's news, internet, and social media as if it never happened.
