I saw a twitter point out that a lot of comments criticizing these policies are being hidden (they can be found from resposts) and I did see they took down that poll about danmei when it wasn't going in the direction they wanted it to. What a joke.

tbh if the next few years things aren't becoming lax again and by 2025 nothing has changed then i'll definitely give up. and the situation really does suck and is depressing now but in the meantime i have other things to keep me preoccupied. like reading 2ha again.

Pretty much. Conservatives have clearly gained the upper hand in controlling which direction the conversation goes because of all the scandals this past year. We have to either wait it out or move on to an industry that's more stable.

It doesn't matter. At the end of the day it's about having control and they can always argue (as nonsensical the arguments are) it's for the states interests and values.

quick summary:
no clear ban policy but regulators are strongly against the "trend of BL" the wording is interpreted as (i've seen some similiar translations) it's against the growing prominence and promotion of such a genre. likely not allowed to be cp promotion. stricter editing of scenes.

she brings up this has happened many times before with certain popular genres (check out the article i posted above about this as it goes into this history, if you like) and how when many capitalists rush to make money off of a certain genre that regulators push back. she said she looks forward to certain bl dramas but that the current situation needs to sort itself out. give it time.
