I'd like that to happen but I feel like most of them especially as expensive as HYX will likely want to wait out the storm. The biggest and primary market is still China and it's not that unusual for these shows to be fridged for a few years then come out when they think the coast is clear.

I understand the original source isn't really seen as BL but because the show has been associated with Dangai 101 it will be interesting how much we will see of "bros just being bros" and maybe throw a likely BG love line in there ha.

I had a feeling we would still be in the storm for the next coming months. I've joked about it but been half serious that we might have to wait a couple of years like what happened to Xianxia and Palace dramas being canceled then coming back but with certain restrictions. I doubt we will ever get something like WoH for a long time from C-ent. Maybe more like CQL and I guess less BL adapted content getting airing licenses in the future because it's too 'capitalist' or whatever excuse they like to give these days while having no problems with the overpromotion of problematic hetero dramas. 🙄

Me watching every unsubbed episode in a rush like it's a glorious masterpiece & understanding nothing.

Since Justmeso brought up The Wolf, I was curious about it and found out it was dropped 3 years later with no announcement and all the episodes available VIP on the same day. I don't expect it anytime soon but hope HYX will just be able to drop episodes in a similiar way in the future when things cool.

Yeah. I was reading somewhere how a good amount of dramas released this year in C-ent were filmed in 2018/2019. Even LYX drama from 2015 has been released this year and you can tell how dated it looks... wild.

Maybe it does have haters but if a lot people aren't won over than it will be shown by the ratings. But yeah, taste is subjective. And time will tell if certain shows will age well (spoiler: they likely won't 😂).

Yes, if people are especially emotionally attached to the characters already than casting has more cause to pick those who can do the role justice and not just pick whoever only is known for hype or being good looking. It's a real disservice and makes it look more like disrespect and a cash grab. I know some cases Kdrama actors who've improved over time since the show is being produced simultaneous while airing and they're getting feedback via public through producers, but ah that can also cause issues too.

Can only assume people who label others with anti or haters so quickly like that are emotionally immature and not really ready to have discussions that challenge their outlook or beliefs.

I've dropped shows for multiple reasons and poor acting or chemistry is one of them. I don't expect perfection, I can forgive if an actor is trying their best with an inconsistent performance. So yeah, why force yourself to enjoy a very mediocre performance? Someone else likely more talented and deserving lost out on that role due to things behind the scenes (this is an issue in every country's entertainment industry it seems). These casting people need to stop treating the audience like they're dumb with the hype they give certain good looking faces over talent because those actors will be forgettable in a few years time if they don't improve.
