So it's best to start on this after season 2 finishes airing, right?

But if the conclusion is depressing, is it worth the 32+ hours ?

I'll start with Season 1 only if season 2 has a happy ending. The amount of hours I'm spending on this is quite .... significant.. don't wanna spend all those hours just to become depressed.

Just came back from 'why her' comments section and wow.. the negativity over there is on a new level. Well, at least ppl don't die here. However, I'm keeping this on as well ...hope it ends well. Lately, since snowdrop and 2521 most romance dramas are taking on the tragic or sad ending.

Haven't watched it yet and I can already see somebody's child died down in the comments so.... Yeah, I'm going to keep this on hold until it finishes. Don't wanna get depressed after watching this for 16 hours straight.

So do I have to watch season 1 to watch this?

A perfect mix of realism and fantasy. Will it satisfy your taste for fantasy? Well, not really. Will it satisfy your taste for realism and Romance? Probably....maybe, maybe not. Anyways a solid 8.5 because it had a lot of things going on without compromising comedy quality. Bottom line, I loved the comedy.

Production quality is a 5/10 but everything else except the odourful couple(woong's aunt and the director) were okay to watch. Performances by the support roles were meh at best. The story was good. The music was a little overused. The ending was well.... Meh. Anyways a solid 8.0.

12 to 13 years have passed and the aging of production quality can be seen so obviously. It's awesome to say that the improvements in production have come a long way to since. SKorea truly has made maximum use of their technology throughout the years to improve entertainment industry.

A very nice analysis. Loved the way you explained it. Minglan is my benchmark for costume dramas. Oh I wish that I could forget watching this drama and watch it all over again. Romance aside this drama is pure classic literature.

Well, well, well... Started out mediocre but gradually picked up and ended on a good note. It's good enough to get a 8.5 from me if it had aired as scheduled. However, the wait for this gradually reduced my score. A solid 8.0 from me.

Ah ,well ..with a rating of 8.0 ..I'm not expecting much tho. However some dramas like familiar wife are highly underrated.

The second episode was much better than the 1st

Well, I don't think about getting good grades tho. I think of just passing the degree without repeating. That's what I meant by getting my GPA out of the gutters. Ah, you're from the US, nothing like parties...hehe. however in Sri Lanka, we're more workaholics..more club activities than partying and if we do party it's related to a club activity. I don't know about the private universities tho, since I'm in a state university.

Well, I'm not a girl tho. However, when you're 23 there is this sense of complexity of what is expected in relationships. It's different from teenage stuff. Anyways I find the first episode too teenage-ish. Would have accepted it if it is a highschool setting. And yes, I do know a lot about how different ppl have different priorities. But approaching them priorities as college students are more complex and mature than teenages. Btw how old are you? I'm 23. I can definitely say that how we approach our priorities in college is way different from how we approach them as kids or teenagers.

Why does the first episode feel like I'm watching teenage brains in adult bodies? They're 23 or something right? Why do they act like teenagers? I mean, I'm a college student and at 23, the only thing we think about is how the hell we gonna get our GPA from the gutters. Also among other things.
