you’re supposed to love the awkward tension & the ambiguity that they are interested in one another at the start, if u dun like the ML or the couple, then i’m afraid this show isn’t for you. Yes romance is a huge part of the drama, pool/snooker is like a backdrop to it but it does have a bit more screentime towards the end/final 3rd of the series.
In Ep 4 (26:03 - 26:28) there’s a translation error, it should be “Why do I keep staring at him today?” instead of “Why does he always stare at me today?”
I think it makes a lot of difference in the context? Since it shows her realization/rising interests of him more, and that makes the scene imo, much better. ———————————————————- Also, in Ep 16 (25:57 - 26:08) instead of “I am your strong support”, it’s more like “I am your retreat path in life” (like being a safety net/way out for him), but I guess strong support does convey similar semantics/point across.

One impressive detail I hope non-players will notice is in Ep 20, starting from 34:06 onwards. When LYY picks up the rest stick to assist in potting the final red ball, he suddenly abandons the rest stick. Why? Because gigachad LYY decided to switch to his non-dominant LEFT-HAND to pot the ball.
I’m pretty sure it has to be inspired by Ronnie O’ Sullivan (World Ranking No. 1 Snooker Player) who is effectively ambidextrous (predominantly right-handed but can play at the professional level with his left as well since he trained it). I know one of his games where he pauses briefly (like LYY), then proceeds to pot the pink ball with his LEFT-HAND and eventually achieved the maximum break of 147 just like LYY in the show as well (which is btw insanely difficult to hit 147 even for pros). Yet, LYY was an individual singled out for praise by the school district, to give presentations/etc, due to winning the championship at the age of 13. YG’s sister met LYY at one point when he had to give a presentation at her school, but she’s apparently just one of the many girls among the audience that likes LYY (poor academic performance, arrogant, but still a handsome champion). But LYY doesn’t even know she existed.
Soo yeah, maybe her attitude has something to do with her being sour about it or along those lines. At least, there was an attempt to justify it somewhat. I hope this helped in reducing the angst/annoyance caused by her for some of y’all.

If you are expecting some unpredictable, larger than life or twists that can blow your mind, I am sorry, this may not be for you. But if you are looking for something beautiful, a love that develops over time, those little touches, glimpses of longing, awkwardness, FL that's shy when it comes to love but truly a star in element as an athelete, a ML that's so handsome and so madly in love with the FL - then this is for you. Leo Wu delivered such a great performance in this drama with Zhao Jinmai. These two look visually great onscreen and their chemistry was 🔥🔥🔥. The intense way they looked at each other, especially Leo Wu. A particular aspect of this drama that captured my attention was Lin Yiyang’s attentiveness towards Yin Guo. His genuine care for her was so attractive. He was a person of few words, but his actions spoke clearly and loudly about his feelings for her.

first few episodes are kinda boring, does it get better?
Their chemistry is the magic in this show, and can be felt early for me. But I’ll say to finish at least 9 eps, if u are still not feeling them by then, it’s probably not for you since the show is heavily-dependent on their interactions. Hope you enjoy it tho.

I’m pretty sure it has to be inspired by Ronnie O’ Sullivan (World Ranking No. 1 Snooker Player) who is effectively ambidextrous (predominantly right-handed but can play at the professional level with his left as well since he trained it). I know one of his games where he pauses briefly (like LYY), then proceeds to pot the pink ball with his LEFT-HAND and eventually achieved the maximum break of 147 just like LYY in the show as well (which is btw insanely difficult to hit 147 even for pros). Both the shots are very similar including the angles.

The opponent thought it was disrespectful and refused to shake his hand after the game etc, and I think Ronnie’s response was something along the lines of, "I can play better with my left hand than you could with your right hand." If this isn't one of the greatest flexes in snooker, then I don't know what is; perhaps he's just stating facts.

Yet, LYY was an individual singled out for praise by the school district, to give presentations/etc, due to winning the championship at the age of 13. YG’s sister met LYY at one point when he had to give a presentation at her school, but she’s apparently just one of the many girls among the audience that likes LYY (poor academic performance, arrogant, but still a handsome champion). But LYY doesn’t even know she existed.
Soo yeah, maybe her attitude has something to do with her being sour about it or along those lines. At least, there was an attempt to justify it somewhat. I hope this helped in reducing the angst/annoyance caused by her for some of y’all.
Additionally, with the context of LYY’s secondary school being infamous, Wu Wei being bullied by hooligans but protected by Lin Lin, and Lin Lin getting scarred on her shoulder while defending MXD from thugs (as mentioned in Ep 8), checks out and makes more sense as well.

If you are expecting some unpredictable, larger than life or twists that can blow your mind, I am sorry, this may not be for you. I just loved the way they balanced leads relationship...usually one person puts more effort and expresses more in a relationship in most of the drama specially if there the FL is young the drama is filled with lots of immature incidents and other part is expected to put more effort because he is elder but this was soo mature and heartwarming...both of them loved and cared for each other equally which was the most appreciating part of the drama for me
Also it is seen how players are affected because of their personal lives and ends up affecting their performance on field but here they kept is so professional, the way leads were shown all focused and emotionless on the field despite the worries outside was admirable

It was such a pure and simple love between two people who love to play pool. I was hooked from the very first episode. Leo Wu delivered such a great performance in this drama with Zhao Jinmai. These two look visually great onscreen and their chemistry was 🔥🔥🔥. The intense way they looked at each other, especially Leo Wu. A particular aspect of this drama that captured my attention was Lin Yiyang’s attentiveness towards Yin Guo. His genuine care for her was so attractive. He was a person of few words, but his actions spoke clearly and loudly about his feelings for her.
