The leads have incredible chemistry and their progression is so good. But the show drags for way too long tbh…
I might agree if it were another Cdrama, but for me this drama, they can stare at fire and I’ll still watch them all day long.

Can i know the age difference of ML and FL
6 years gap, FL is 21 y.o. & ML is 27 y.o. in the show at the start.

irl; 3 years gap, Zhao Jinmai (2002) is 21 y.o. and Wu Lei (1999) is 24 y.o. while filming the show in 2023.

Title Doctor Slump
I really liked that they didn’t drag out the case, and Bin Daeyoung dude is too wholesome. I hope things for them will only be uphill from now on; let’s go full rehabilitation/healing mode!

I’m on Ep 6, and I think it’s getting better since they have already introduced FL’s personality and her family well enough for a start. But, I have some questions that I felt that I need to know to enjoy more of this show going forward (indicate as spoiler for me):

1) How many love interests / people who are interested in FL are there? In Ep 6 it seems to be ML, Yuan Shen, Lou Yao (correct me if i’m wrong). Will there more if so who else?
2) Did FL / ML get together with someone else first or did they love someone else first?
3) Similarly, how many love interests / people who are interested in ML? FL will obviously be one subsequently, there’s also this Princess Yuchang, are there any more?
4) When/which ep will FL likes or realises she likes ML, and which ep will they get together?
5) Are there any breakups, if so which ep, and which ep will they get back together?
6) Happy ending or at least a worthy payoff ending?

I’m asking all these becuz I dislike too complicated of a love relationship so I hope that these can at least prepare me / motivate me more to love the show. Don’t need to answer all, feel free to just answer those that you know since it will still be helpful :)

Some people don’t understand that the plot IS the interactions and the growing relationship/romance. The reason some perceive it as dull, draggy, or devoid of any plot is simply because they don't vibe with the chemistry between the couple as much. And for a series that heavily depends on the dynamics of the couple, this can make-or-break the show for you, so just give few eps a try and feel the chemistry urself to see if you’ll like it or not. And if you are skipping/ff-ing their scenes it’s totally pointless/invalid.
Just know that I love the tension between the two throughout the entire show.

I was puzzled about the test results that I did not notice, but one commenter said she told LYY it was negative…
You just have to rewatch the first few mins of episode 27.

I would love to see that but I don’t think so, as no news. This drama really didn’t do justice to MXD and…
Haha I’m nowhere close to being a pro, I just know the game well since I have competed on school-level before, which is not worth mentioning compared to actual good players. I’m glad it helped in making it more interesting :D Hope you enjoy :)

No problem :)
Oh wait, I missed the point that in snooker, the colored balls are replenished once they’re potted as long as there are still red balls on the table, with the maximum break score of 147 (potting red and only black alternating) which is insanely challenging even for professionals.

Yeah, I do understand ur non-player perspective.

For the loose threads you thought of I felt that there wasn’t really a need to tackle all these in details, pregnancy test YG said the result was negative, Jiang Yang’s wife is likely the blind-date girl he met (who was mentioned to be a divorcee if i’m not wrong), LYY and YG got married and there’s a scene of YG wearing the ring, but I dun think there’s a need to show the wedding process, banquet, etc (personally), doesn’t matter why they were back in helsinki, it can be vacation or to reminsice or whatever, what was the purpose of motorcycle? To ride? and I believed the initial motivation when he bought it was when he realised he needs his own transport (during the fight where YG left for training). For the injury, no clue, maybe novel readers might know, but I see it simply as over-taxing due to the training/number of format he has to compete in. I don’t feel there’s a need to know all the nitty-gritty details as long as I enjoy their chemistry and the show. Of course this is all subjective to me, and you have ur on take of it as well, since you seems to be very technical.

Some explanation about the game:

In snooker, players must pot a red ball (1 pt) first before they can attempt to pot a colored ball, which carries varying point values (yellow-2, green-3, brown-4, blue-5, pink-6, black-7 pts). This alternation between potting reds and colored balls (red, colored, red, colored) continues until all the red balls are cleared from the table, after which players must pot the colored balls in sequence from yellow to black. To maximize their points, players need to strategically position the cue ball (white ball), ideally near the black ball (which yields the most points), after potting a red. They must also position for the next red ball after potting the black. Moreover, players will also need to deal with being "snookered," where their opponent skillfully blocks the path to the required ball, typically as fewer red balls remain on the table. Failing to hit the required ball results in a foul, with the opponent gaining points (a minimum of 4 pts, when you misses all the ball or hit any colored balls lower than 5 pts). Contacting let’s say a pink ball when you are supposed to hit a red ball will be a foul that gives the opponent the pink-ball points (6 pts), while for black it will give the opponent 7 pts, etc. The one with the most points at the end of the game wins (obviously).

For 9-ball pool, it’s simpler, they just have to pot the balls numbered 1 through 9 in sequential order, starting from the lowest numbered ball first, the one who pot the 9-ball at any point wins the game (so hitting a required lowest numbered ball first but successfully potting the 9-ball in the process win instantly as well).

Both game requires a lot of tactical positioning since you can’t just pot whichever ball you want and you must always plan for the next.

As Leo Wu already has lots of appreciation, I would like to take this comment to appreciate Zhao Jinmai as well.…
Time for you to watch Reset, another great work of her.

Just to provide another perspective as someone who enjoys playing snooker & pool. I felt that the filming and depiction of the sport to be great. There were displays of high-level plays that were impressive, although I know that those without prior knowledge of the game might struggle to fully grasp the intricacies especially in terms of snooker. I actually liked how the screentime was perfectly allocated rather than an abundance of explanations or information about how the game works (which would be boring for me). After all, this series is more about the love story rather than serving as a tutorial or wiki on snooker/pool.

My all-time favorite couple from now on. Their chemistry is electrifying and off-the-charts. If they don’t win the best couple award, I’ll riot, because I don’t know who else could.

I’ll miss this show. And yes, the chemistry overweighs any negatives for me.

10/10.
