from a monetary point of view it makes sense that they added a straight couple to the mix to make it more "palatable" for the gp and no one is saying you have to be happy about that; but the main character is still gay so saying this isn't a bl is definitely...a choice

i feel a big part of the problem (imo) is we're not actually seeing him put in any effort. it's the same cycle of expressing his trauma and how he doesn't believe/know what love is, flirting with gun (???), and then distancing himself again.
no matter how 'traumatised': if you know you have this issue and acknowledge it, don't just repeat this vicious cycle aimlessly.... he doesn't express himself or try tot understand his feelings, he just says he doesn't understand them and asks gun to wait but then basically acts like they're in a relationship, just messy tbh
