jumark chemistry is carrying this so far. the pacing is off and the writing is a bit bland and surface-level, i expected more tbh and this cast deserves better ://

like that convo at the school...cmon.. jh already knew yr liked jp, it's why she broke up with him in the first place and when they met again she could clearly see there was something going on between them. but she still chose to ask yr to 'help' her somehow; why ? why would she ask that ? was she testing her ? or lowk asking her to be the one to yield again? cause that's the vibes i was getting from that. all in all i think jh's adoptive mom coveting her so much did her no good, she hasn't grown as a character at all !!! they both need to be on the same page for their friendship to survive healthily and i don't know how jh's going to get there with only two episodes to spare..

this started out sooo strong but unfortunately the last two episodes were mid, the pacing was really off and the plot was a mess, even the dialogue between the leads felt different??
i really can't get into the story since we're not given any real motives behind why the characters act the way they do or why they ended up getting any type of power, kind of makes it a really passive watch for me lol
what REALLY got me hooked on this is the fact that the power plays are between women !!!!!! finally !!!!!! feels honestly so refreshing i feel like i can appreciate each character way more this way, even the bad ones lol

besides that, his assistant telling him to "just force himself on wsw" kind of insinuates that's something he would do to someone else
so far, this is looking like r*ape apologia in pastel packaging..
no, falling in love will not "heal" a r*apist and make his past ok, and ignoring this by calling the show a "silly romcom BL" is just trivialising the issue. chi cheng could have been written as a red flag without the r*ape-y behaviour and it would have had the same narrative tension without normalising abuse
overlooking the issue just sends the message that abusers deserve redemption arcs more than survivors deserve justice, and that consent is negotiable especially if it's packaged as humour or romance
