I don't think its a waste of time, I actually like the concept but not the execution, I feel they made Naksu to one-dimensional as in her only goal in life is to serve UK. This kinda of makes it boring because all UK has to do is show up and then she is in love with him, but luckily the actors are so good with great chemistry I think they kinda of carried the show, when the story would have made it draggy and circular.

I agree with you. I must have watched the first 10 ep of part 1 3x or more. Part 2 is good but seems kinda of simplified. There is no more action/adventure/mystery/ thriller/romance/comdey but just a simple romcom with good actors and story that kinda of goes in circles. Seems the entire season is about Naksu's/Buyeon's identity reveal.

Yeah, Master Lee allows evil to happen while being obsessed with Naksu. Like Naksu has already died 3x and Master Lee is predicting a 4th so he saved her only so she could die when she got her memory and powers back?

Really, I just feel nothing compares to Jung so min in that dress in S1 when the crown prince's servants fixes her up and we see a slow motion shot of her when the crown prince walks in . S1 EP6 53 min mark. Crown prince walks in to a world class beauty.

Yeah but the Legends is a entire another level in my opinion. It's a little dated so the production quality is not the same but the chemistry between Bai lu and Xu Kai makes AOS looks like child's play. One major difference is The Legends remains a true action/adventure fantasy drama , were as AOS starts off as action/adventure/ fantasy/mystery but ends up being mostly a romance comedy. But with that said the drama is so good I re-watch every year or so and I also recommend the book.

Where were all the people commenting about the LJW and GYJ chemistry last season? I remember being attacked for saying I wasn't feeling the chemistry last season. JSM and LJW had great chemistry has friends or master/ student but the romantic chemistry felt off or forced at times. S2 the romance feels a lot more natural. But as I recall everyone but a few people were all in on JSM and LJW pretty much saying the same things people are saying now about LJW and GYJ. With that said I still prefer season 1, there is a certain magical quality and charm about JSM's portrayal of Mudeok that was whole another level, Plus S1 was an action/adventure/mystery/romance/comedy that did so much more than season 2.

Bruh the other guy maskedmate has serious problems. I think he has multiple accounts he attacked me in the same manner, then he gives himself likes, either that or he runs a school full of crackheads. Just have to brush it off, thankfully he is only one of the few like that.

Remember most of the preview trailers or like clickbait. The preview trailer for ep 3 and 4 made it seem like Naksu was going get her memory/powers back by Jin Mu ringing the bell.

Yeah but good writing doesn't require plot holes and dumb characters. AOS has a lot of them.

Really I think, Lee Jae Wook doesn't do romance well at least in this drama he is kinda wonky and awkward. Some many male actors are one dimensional while females have to multi-faulted and express a wider range of emotions, why is it when there an issue with chemistry people blame the female. Somin carried the drama and she had magical quality and unique charm about her. That doesn't take anything away from the new actress either she is killing it. But I agree the writers rushed the characters in the S1 into false romance dynamic that I never found believeable, it was actually cringey at times.

They don't like to hear that. I said the same thing and basically I've had to accept this show is not an action/adventure mystery fantasy drama but a soapy trophey romcom. The writers are basically doing a rewrite of the S1 with the same character bases. The story is different but the character dynamics are the same. You basically have Muedok 2.0 and UK. Notice how Naksu relationship with so many people is basically the same. Damn even the Queen is playing the same character as last season even though that queen was different person. All the world building, mystery and rules surrounding the actual magic of alchemy of souls has been thrown out the window. Master Lee doesn't make any sense he basically there to fill in plot holes with news ones.
