Episode 5 - the most stupid trial I've ever seen. Not ridiculous but literally stupid. Absolutely nothing about…
That's because the court martial wasn't supposed to be of much significance. Otherwise, Do Bae Man wouldn't have let a far less experienced prosecutor in Cha Woo In to take charge.

He knows the real war is outside the court.

I have a love hate relationship with the way they are subtly showing the misogyny faced by General Noh? I guess…
Ikr. I am very conflicted. On one hand, I love how powerful she is despite being overwhelmingly outnumbered, but on the other hand, she's a psychopath?

They literally turned two of the nicest people in Happiness (Kimshi #1501 and Writer's brother #401) into merciless killers (The Raincoat Killer and The Sedan killer) in Through The Darkness. These lesser-known actors are so outrageously talented, and their range is brilliant.

Profiler talking about the serial killer: "He's an introvert. He has social anxiety, he is timid. He doesn't talk a lot. But if we make him feel comfortable, he will talk. We have to be very strategic."

Me, an introvert: *RUNS*

I didn't know it before, but three of the serial killers in Through The Darkness were based on three of the most notorious serial killers in South Korean history.

1) The Hammer murderer (Gu Young Chun) was based on Yoo Young Chul
2) The bald stabber (Nam Ki Tae) was based on Jeong Nam Gyu
3) The rapist/murderer in the final episode (Woo Ho Sung) was based on Kang Ho-Sun

I don't know if they were mentioned in the book, but I'll definitely read it. Just knowing that the horrible criminals in the drama actually exist in real life makes my blood boil. Such horrible people with no regard for human life. So many innocents died untimely and unfair deaths. May all the victims be at peace.

I think the people finding it boring went in expecting something different. This wasn't really a thriller per-say,…
Many people are used to the "Who is the killer?" sort of thrillers, but since that was spoiled from the start for every case in Through The Darkness, they felt disappointed. It's one of the best dramas this year so far.

I hope they would produce another season and that the story would focus around Female Serial Killers. It would…
That is a cool idea, but statistically, women criminals are very few compared to males.

Of all of the prisoners in US, only 8 percent are women, and that's the highest percentage of female prisoners in the world. Their crimes are also mostly petty, like theft, fraud, scamming and some times punishments due to self defence (not a crime but the law sometimes sucks).

Instances of women being psychopathic murders, serial killers and rapists are very very rare.

Those interrogation scenes were absolutely brilliant. Every exchange is so intriguing, like a tug of war between the culprit and the investigators. The writer deserves a pay rise, and the actors were solid 10/10. From the investigators to criminals. And the fact that the cases weren't solved in like 5 days after an investigator suddenly remembered a clue, but they lingered on for months and years, which is very close to reality.

I loved the show. 8.5/10.

Ahn Eun Jin and Yoo Ah In together, which means the acting is going to be AMAZING.

From a Fiery Priest who enjoys a rollercoaster of emotions to a calm and composed profiler who rarely exhibits how he's feeling, Kim Nam Gil's range is immaculate.

Jo Bo Ah role is a woman from a chaebol family background can't be compared with My Name FL background ... that's…
I think she's more of a freestyle fighter compared to Yoon Jiwoo, who had a boxing and MMA background. Also HSH was literally fighting trained assassins, so her fighting style had to be top notch. JBA fought an idol and his weird ass friends, so her action scenes didn't need to be of Bruce Lee level haha.

Also My Name was very dark, compared to this drama.

Not a huge fan of actresses cutting their hair short whenever they go for tough female lead roles. Seems unnecessary…
It's definitely not unnecessary, but very logical. Longer hair are hard to manage because the amount of times these girls fight, the hair will get all sweaty and damaged and need regular care. They don't have a lot of time for that. Shorter hair are certainly easier to manage and that's why UFC/Martial Arts champions like Rose Namajunas and Zhang Weili shaved their heads. Namajunas said "Long hairs got in my way in practice, so I cut them off"

I think it makes sense.

I know right? I was like this kid will be going places because he's so polished for a child actor hahaha. Turns out it's a 26 year old girl. No wonder the acting was top notch.

Korean child actors are brilliant nonetheless.
