I am going to keep going. I am three episodes in so far, but I have rewatched these episodes a couple of times because it’s not really holding my interest, then I get lost.

I think it may be that. The beginning is hard to follow but it’s not really grabbing me. What is the draw of this drama? Is it action? Love story? Revenge? I’m not really finding the threads.

I don’t know why, but I really can’t stay interested in this. Not sure why though. It has some decent acting and the premise should be right up my alley. 🤷🏽‍♀️

I started a rewatch recently and I just couldn’t figure out the timeline and where things fit. It boggled my mind, but I couldn’t figure it out. Thank you again. Now I can finish my rewatch because I am looking for some of the small details in the drama I missed the first time around. 🙏🏽

I have really been trying to get into this.

This is pretty random, but I have been wondering about the actual time line of events as well as the age of the characters. There were years shown and mentioned, but from the start how long did the revenge actually take to completion? There was a seven or eight year gap at one point, and the time she spent learning to play Go. Just curious if anyone has a good breakdown? Also, I realize the ML was younger than the FL, but how old was she actually supposed to be and how old was he? Thanks to anyone who knows.

I didn’t realize this was currently airing and now I am two episodes in. The premise is interesting, so I might keep up with it.

She obtained her revenge, and at the end they are entering the prison where the guy who killed the doctor’s father is, so he can get his revenge. The two leads love each other and support each other’s quests, so they are a perfect match.

Just started the second season, and I am hoping we see more character development for our emotionless ML.

I am going to jump into this after four episodes have aired.

There is one main story with a lot of moving pieces.

Great elder statesman is just an expression for a respected person usually of the state like a politician, but in this sense I am using it to describe this drama as a genre defining classic because it set so many trends. Maybe not the best analogy…lol

I may check it out again one day. The gaming though really through me off. I never played any games like that, so I had no reference. The movie gave a nice overview, so I might try it again.

It’s a drama, so there’s that. It’s not real life. Yet, the drama did make clear via his actions that he was in love with her.

Agreed. I wanted more mystery, but it dragged and was too interested in explanations of chemistry compounds. The culprit was the daughter of the lawyer and an accomplice. Then the brother who came back as the doctor…then the father to kill the real chimera. There was an angle with the mother of the cop, but I can’t recall how she exactly fit in. I think she was connected to creating the compound TH-5.
