I asked 2 days if people here were Team Thyme or Team Ren. The updated results are Team Thyme: Team Ren = 14:1. Of the Team Thyme responses, ten are younger than 30 years old. Four are above 30. The single Team Ren is < 30 yrs old.

Not sure if the ratios are representative of anything but I found the high ratio in favor of Team Thyme here surprising. I watched several F4 reactions (most of them typically react to BL series) on YT and it seems the split there is more even. Not sure what explains the difference but if you have any insights, please do share.

Initially someone else said it and he laughed in response cuz he liked it so much. He later repeated it publicly.

Rosalyn is in black so I'm not sure if it's really a wedding scene. (Black is not an auspicious color at all for a Thai wedding.) Perhaps just a scene where Thyme takes on a leadership role in the Parama group?

As Bright would say, Thyme is for Gorya and Ren is for the audience. (For me, I just pretend I'm Gorya.)

Both words are used in Thailand for drama series. Lakorn is a Thai word and typically is used for drama that is aired on free TV channels. Series is a slightly more modern word for "lakorn" and is normally used for drama aired on cable or digital TV channels. Because the audience for these channels are younger than the free TV ones, youth series are normally referred to as "series" and not "lakorn." But they can be used interchangeably too. For example, K-drama can be either "lakorn kao-lee" or "series kao-lee" in Thai.

Only if you choose to binge watch all EPs at once. It's such an excellent production with so much to unpack, interpret, discuss with fellow watchers. Lots of symbols, purposeful story telling, etc. so it is actually really fun enjoying the show along with everyone else.

Wow, thank you for all the scene-by-scene comparisons. I watched the Japanese version a while ago and it's good to be reminded how closely the Thai version follows HYD. Please also share your thoughts on EPs 4-6 too.

So fun to see the cute, fun interactions of the actors/actresses in BTS footage that GMMTV shares. Love Bright's full belly laughs and how he is literally a snowbright in real life. He even advocated for fair pay for his acting besties macaws! He seemed to favor the green one (the color of Gorya).

Not yet. The director is working so hard trying to film and marathon-edit. It's such a labor of love for him and the cast and crew. Very detailed work. Knowing this, I never complain again that we only get one episode a week.

So far, I got 13 responses on the Team Thyme vs Team Ren question below. The prelim results are:

10 Team Thyme vs 1 Team Ren. 2 undecided/uninterested.
70% of Team Thyme is < 30 years old. 30% are > 30.
The single Team Ren vote is from someone < 30.

In Thailand, more people on FB are Team Ren while on Twitter, more are on Team Thyme. Thyme seems to dominate on TikTok, too. On Youtube, both camps are more even. I'm curious about the opinions here on MDL. And whether there is a correlation between age and preferences.

So which team are you on: Ren or Thyme? And are you 30 or younger (if you don't mind sharing)?

I stay loyal to Bright. :) But I do root for Dew, too. Bright and Dew actually have great chemistry together. Dew really admires Bright as an older brother.
