Whew I’m done the show now and what a ride it was. I thought this would be a tighter show but it had the same essence of the og by being awkward, youthful, slow pacing, old schooly, a lot of characters with a lot of fooling around. But I love the modern twist of Aim’s love interest. I feel like a lot happened in the last two episodes that should’ve been solved earlier I’m not sure why we couldn’t get a drama free last ep.
I’m now even more confused why they never kissed when they allowed an accidental kiss in the end with someone else…. 😅 that’s such a wild decision but they also imply they have gone all the way and even his dad makes use protection jokes???! They talk about it but they don’t even give us a camera angle moment like I was under the impression they haven’t reached anything past hand holding. I was shook with the sudden innuendos and roaming hands. The two were very cute otherwise. Almond is almost the same as he is now he barely has any awkwardness in front of the camera. Progress is the most different and idk if it’s the character but he felt very rookie like but also matched his young character. His character in When oranges fall is similar but the growth is so much.

I definitely think Ko song liked Ko 1 first with all those flashbacks of him purposely dropping Oranges for Ko 1 in ep 1. But Ko 1 definitely made more flirty moves first while Ko song was playing it safe. He legit got jealous so many times and even followed Ko song idk why he’s soo confused TT
I’m 3 episodes in and I’m so enjoying their chemistry. I’ve seen all the comments about the lack of actual kisses and too many almost kisses and I’m glad I knew that or else I too would feel rage baited. But it is interesting they didn’t include simple kisses when even the original had it and the book apparently has even more they even have their first time together. So I’m not sure why ppl are acting like it’s ridiculous for teens to be kissing or that the team is just that against it when even the original was not censoring their relationship. It was quite chaste in the original and it was awkward and cute so I really do think it’s a shame they didn’t add that element into this version. Also the amount of shirtless scenes and close up shots of it is quite a lot for just 3 episodes and you can’t tell me that’s not uncomfy to film but a kiss is. There’s also plenty of disclaimers for the under age drinking and for the driving scene so I find it hard to believe the company is just trying to play moral police only about the kiss. I think even a fake kiss with some camera angles would be better then the constant bait. All three episodes were fun but I don’t remember Phun being so direct about not liking Aim so now I’m just confused about what is keeping him there… Even if he doesn’t get with Noh he still should break up with her and wouldn’t he be outed for dating a guy if his sis really does talk to their dad. I thought the plan was his sis would fight for PhunNoh relationship so their dad wouldn’t set him up with other girls cuz he’s already in a committed one with a boy. Otherwise how will his sis argue to not have Phun with anyone like just because or… what? I’m not sure how they’re going to justify PhunAim staying together for so long when they both don’t like each other. Her mom likes Phun fine but his parents don’t so why is he still sticking to her. And Aim is she about to have a lesbian storyline or is she gonna be cheating with her friend cause that would be an awesome change. Originally she’s with another man on the side but if it’s now another girl that would be so iconic.
This show is such a happy vibe for me and I wish I could get all the remaining episodes now to watch. I am a bit confused about the Aguar and Achi confession like did they not confirm to each other that they liked each other last ep at the end.. Why didn’t we get a follow up convo to that and I mean if Achi was ready to kiss him Im guessing it’s an open secret right now. I just hope we get actual conversations between them in the last 4 episodes. The third couple has not been set up that well so I wasn’t really rooting for them to begin with but now that it’s all out there I hope they get better moments. I’m not sure if they’re gonna be a set cp but I’m not really getting any chemistry from them. When I saw the ep 8 preview I knew Ko 1 was not going to confess back or even acknowledge he feel’s something for him. Which is kinda confusing for us all because he’s the one who was tempted to kiss Ko song on the boat and got called out by August so I really thought he reflected and realized something by then. Then he kept teasing Ko song that he’ll have a lover and it’s someone around him and he got jealous over him so I know that’s why Ko song leaned into a kiss. With all those hints it’s a bit baffling that Ko 1 is completely oblivious I mean I get not being ready but he didn’t even think about it until Augur told him he has feelings. Before Augur talked we didn’t even get flashbacks of Ko 1 thinking of the kiss and touching his lips or getting lost in staring at Ko song or anything so he was really convinced he felt nothing. At the end he does admit he doesn’t know how he feels but I feel like we keep going one step forward and two steps back with his realization. I wish Ko songs called him out on his flirting and I hope Augur continues to call him out. I love that whole discussion between the friends and how Augur confessed it was so surprising but not at the same time. I really wanted him to point out that Ko’s reaction to Augur confessing is so different to how he’s responding to Ko songs feelings TT. He’s literally shuddering and giving the stank face to Augur but Ko Song actually kissed him and he never responded like that. I guarantee if Augur kissed him Ko would push his face away so fast he would get whiplash.
So im not the only one who finds this drama cringe? Lol but no offense this drama is so good. The actors are nailing…
I’m pretty sure it was fully filmed through phones. Kokoy had vloged some of the bts of filming for his YouTube and they fully used two phones for that final reunion episode and he says that’s the first time they met in person. So they really did everything on a small budget and under lock down so things were for real done by themselves with just video calling assistance.
I’m really enjoying this show and I appreciate the depth and attention to details but I also wish it was a bit longer. I’ve noticed some eps are 45 to 48 mins when I really think it would benefit with a 60 min run because some scenes seem cut to quickly or I wish they lingered on it. The assembly scene with the parents speaking up ended so quickly I really thought the kids would get involved to convince the parents to accept Solar/Sun and Pobmek. Even in this ep Pobmek’s mom kept repeating that he should quit instead of ranting all her reasons like what a waste of degree/time/resources. She obviously felt like she gave up so much to just focus on her kid and got him an interview in highschool so I really thought she would throw that back into his face. That would have added so much more to the scene but it feels like the issue keeps resolving all in 45 mins in ep 5 and 6. The other issue I think would get resolved if we got more time is the tender intimate moments. Especially in the flashback scenes the two have so many tender moments and it’s set up so beautifully but it cuts alway so quickly. It’s just so close everything is so perfect but then they cut away from a 2 sec kiss. And Solar keeps being freaky but we never get to see them go through with it TT I can’t wait for next episode it’s gonna be a heart wrenching episode. I have honestly been loving the Sun and Pobmek dynamic cause they fight all the time but they care and console each other. The car scene was so touching I’m not sure if Solar came out for a moment to stroke Pobmek hair but I hope they bond some more.

Yea I’m also wondering what he saw in Fourever You project, the first part seems so amateur but part 2 that’s airing right now is so much better. I watched it while it was airing and their chemistry was weak and their arms were stiff during the kisses and the script was so all over the place. I remember ppl being excited for Pond and then I saw what his previous work was on mdl and I was shocked it was the same guy. Then reset content started dropping and it was way more high budget. That show was his weakest performance but he definitely made life long friends from that group of actors so I guess you win some and lose some. I guess we won’t be getting Peterpan and Pond together again anytime soon. But I think they need to start giving other pairs classes.
Okay I finally picked this up again at the 5 ep mark and I realized I actually watched until ep 6 and the second half of this show is so good I’m so entertained. I see some ppl have paused it and I gotta say it gets better. I think the first half build up with all the dramatics and tension plus Armin being kinda annoying but he is traumatized is a lot but when the romance really kicks in and they’re finally together that’s when there’s more of a balance. You don’t see Armin freak out and rant out loud about the future to rando ppl anymore. The chemistry between Thada and Armin is crazy good I think they display such passion even in the way they brush up against each other. They have such good intimacy I wish they could teach others. And I mean even how Thada runs his hand over Armins shoulder to bicep like this is what bls are missing the casual intimacy that happens it’s not just about the NC scenes. I think Pond does lead a lot of their kisses and it adds so much to the scene he’s putting so much detail and passion in it. I don’t think I’ve seen anyone else smile into the kiss as much as he does and I’m shocked by the difference between here and Fourever you idk if New just sucks the fun out of every kiss/spicy scene. Idk I think maybe because Pond has played both ‘positions’ he knows what to add and not just lie there or stand there. He was putting in so much energy and response to whatever Peterpan was giving even when his back was to him. It’s not about it being spicy or dirty as possible there was more passion and love in all of their scenes and I praise the two I really hope they can work together again.

No I mean WeTv usually gets you to pay to watch the next episode early but only once like 4 eps or so are released. But not all shows have a fast pass but last season they did allow it.
Okay now that people have calmed down I have to say the pacing and acting took me out at times. Considering horror is not my genre at all I was intrigued cuz I get fomo when there's a lot of lore. So I did enjoy this show but the over hype honestly made me hope too much which lead me to be dissatisfied.
In general the plot was interesting enough that I didn't mind the slow burn but then it started getting really slow and boring for me. I remember that powder blowing scene being so hyped but seems like they added that for fan service, like give us one moment and then bring us back to the beginning again. Even Khem finally showing his sass didn't last long and the jealous Peem arc was teased for 3-4 eps. I thought if they're a slow burn at least the second couple would get a moving but they didn't.. they finally talked things through in the last episode like what TT.
The other thing is acting. Everyone was decent to good but Namping was noticeably weak at times and it wasn't until Khem was going through a lot did I realize he has 3 expressions. And the scared to cautious to worriedly scared to crying expressions all started to look the same. I was into it in the first few eps but then it became clear he only had a few expressions and I just wasn't connecting. Especially when he was with Peem who is stoic I really saw his micro expressions and felt it more. The side couple was good I mean both cps definitely have chemistry.
I've seen ppl talk about the nc in mdl and yea the first nc for KNP was good but the second was questionable. The expressions and care but spice was so good in the first nc but the second seemed like totally different energies but also with the editing and how much Peem was reacting it looked like they were alluding to something else. Idk it was not matched and I don't mean Khem shouldn't be nervous cuz he was nervous during their first nc and that was edited and done well. Anyways it's not that deep I was just wondering how ppl really felt over the loudness of it being hyped. Overall this show is good and all the lore with the mythical creatures were so cool. I just want people to manage their expectations with all the hype.

The aura, chemistry and visuals are so much better I just don’t think the blonde messy hair suit Park at all. The second cp made me wonder why Beer even likes Wan, he’s such a whiner. But then the main couple got boring so I was rooting for some progress with the second cp.
