I think Gil Chae's obsession with Yeon Jun stems from the fact that maybe Yeon Jun never reciprocated her feelings in any way, shape or form like the others, who were very much smitten by her. And she saw it as a challenge on how to win him over. So, for her it'll be hard to forget the feelings she had for Yeon Jun is very true because when you have liked someone for so many years, crush or not, it's hard to feel any different for them. But she can also see that Jang Hyun in many ways challenges her too. He has full faith in her and has seen first-hand how she survived and kept the others alive as well. She's smart, quick to adapt and a fighter all in all. Only that she will definitely need some time to look at Jang Hyun in the romantic way and see him for he truly is.

Exactly, that's what I meant, Gil Chae still don't know what Jang Hyun did for her did for country and on the other she still see him (JH) as selfish flirty person who has many women around him, is misogamist and she thinks he flew every time when war happens. But does that even make sense that still you act like an oblivion person after knowing these things, I mean literally he saved you and your friends (Eun Ae, her maid and Eun Ae's maid) thanks to him your crush is safe and sound, he told her to go to that Island when something happens this and that at least she knows these things still she doesn't want to believe him. And for liking him or desiring him (Yeon Jun) there is some backstory to reveal. In ep 8th preview she said something like "You don't know what he means to me" didn't remember words correctly.
I think Jang Hyun is too good for Gil Chae. I don't know why she is still yearning a desire for Yeon Jun when he is already engaged, and he explicitly said to her that nothing can happen between them. It's really unnecessarily draggy now. There should be some strong backstory for her reasoning otherwise it will no brainer her to like him still that much. Ep 8 may reveal that reason.
What a brilliant drama it was, I binged this drama in just one day, I was so hooked that I can't even say. whoever want to watch this, please just go ahead give it a try and then decide. This drama is by far most sensational masterpieces I have watched even I've watched only 4 epis till now, usually no other dramas kicks off this good as this does, even minute details were depicted brilliantly.

This drama is nothing but a 'Showpiece'. Every dialogue, scenes and music made me cry. 2nd FL was one of the greenest flag I've ever seen in any show, also her interaction with ML. This is just another pinnacle of peak cinema that we are witnessing.
Literally almost every person here are acting like a time traveller or pessimistic:- "This drama will have sad ending". Who'll tell them that they have to enjoy the drama too before knowing or expecting the end of it.
