Title Dear X Spoiler
You can like a character without agreeing with their actions. Have you never liked any villains in movies/tv shows?
No no it’s not that I like her. It’s just that it’s not her fault she was created as someone who doesn’t “like people”. She was literally created rotten lol. Instead, what makes her bad is her continuous cruelty. Sociopaths can choose to if to make bad or good decisions like regular people because she’s an adult that now understands that her actions hurt others so of course she’ll have to be punished for this. I understand that.

“I can’t wait to see her destruction for her evil actions”. So far, only one person who was originally innocent is in prison. Jun Seo and Jae O know what they’re getting with her. They’re not blind. It’s true that she’s taking advantage of them but they’re not completely averse to this. Jun Seo’s situation is more complicated because she created his dependency on her, but at the same time he knows what she’s up to. Jae O needs her to feel validated. So far, they haven’t hurt anyone (that didn’t deserve it) by helping her just yet. The situation with the man in prison- she did that herself. She’s just largely manipulated people’s thinking so far. But it hasn’t caused much harm yet. I’m just trying to say that of course she will meet her downfall but with the way people say it you’d think an innocent person was already dead. It will happen I’m sure but until then the comments will make you think it already did.
So many corrupt politicians and regular cruel people are just as bad because they have feelings and still do these and even worse things, and are walking around freely. But now that I think about it, maybe some of those people are also sociopaths because how can a person be so cruel damn

After seeing the 8.5 rating i can say ppl are bec0ming psych0 nowadays....... the L generation...... they like…
I’ve noticed this weird misunderstanding on MDL recently. A show being a good show doesn’t mean the characters are nice or good people. It means either one or more of these things have been done well: the plot, directing, character set up and development, acting, music accompaniments. The show doesn’t need to teach some moral lesson. It can just show you what happened. You the viewer can make judgements about the characters actions, but good execution of the storytelling is what makes a good show.

Well it’s not her fault that she doesn’t like people. She can’t help it. She was either created like that or the circumstances have permanently damaged her ability to feel those emotions. That part of her is damaged. Not “liking” people is not the problem. Disregarding their feelings so thoroughly in using them is what is bad.
Also Junseo is definitely realising he can’t fix her lolll

i wonder if she was truly happy/enjoying herself in that convo with jaeo and junseo or was she pretending
I was also curious about it. Jun Seo watched her as if he were watching the best movie. I think Jun Seo thinks she's a little normal around Jaeo and finds things he says funny, which is totally different from how she is with him, so to some extent, he thinks Jaeo's company is healthier for her. Personally, I think she really does find Jaeo sort of funny, but in the end, it's not the true her. She likes Jaeo because he'll do anything for her, but doesn't tell him what she's thinking and instead tells Jun Seo. So she's not being her barest self with even Jaeo. So maybe she was half sincere and half not?

In ep 6, there was a moment where I actually doubted if FL is the main psycho of this drama, ML seemed in pain…
Me too, omg. I started to wonder for a moment if he is the bigger manipulator? but nah, it's still her lol. His eyes are literally psycho sometimes

The director is great at making the scenes uncomfortable. Even with just looks, hand placements and hugs. Sometimes nothing much is going on, but I'm uncomfortable because the energy conveyed is constantly toeing the line. That's really cool.

I feel like she's now worse than when she was a teenager. Her eyes are flatter than before, and she's constantly irritated and done with everything. She seems more sadistic, too and even more impulsive and less willing to see/pretend to see people as people. Of course, it only got this bad because of everything that's happened but damn

The scene where Lena hit her outside their building was like watching someone wake a sleeping python. I was like, broo you're finished. Don't you have common sense?

Watching her and Jun seo together is crazy. She treats him like he's something that belongs to her, which is interesting. I wish I could pick his brain because I want to know exactly what he's thinking. Why did he go back to her? Was she punishing him somehow by telling him about trying to love someone else? I loooove the dead eyes Jun Seo gave Jae Ho when he said "I thought you were into each other". That shot is so funny😭😂

Also, when she said, "My trauma turned into your commodity?" and he avoided her eyes immediately. Didn't dare lie to her because she'd sniff it out in a nanosecond, which means he did think she could be mad about it. But I was like, is she actually mad? It's partly his trauma too, but ig.

Heo In Gang- She's going to leave that man in tatters. He had her right the first time. It's good to trust your instincts but she didn't give him a chance to breathe. I wish she would be kinder about it at least because he's done nothing to you 😭Laughing while he's in pain?😭

Yes of course, as I said, I agree with you. What the adults did to her was wrong. No one is denying that, and neither is the show denying that. That doesn’t change the reality that sending an innocent man to prison is also wrong. Using people and discarding them isn't right no matter who does it. It’s in all her right to get vengeance against those who wronged her and it would have been nice if that doesn’t come with consequences, but it does. It would have been nice if she didn’t drag an innocent person into it, but she did. She has gone through a lot, yes but does he deserve to be randomly dragged in because she’s had a hard life? No. If he agreed to help her, then it would be different. She issued people as she has been used, and does that make sense in her case? Yes. Is it still wrong? Still, yes.

What do you mean labelling the young girl a monster? Being a sociopath is a medical condition that is diagnosed. It doesn’t “always” mean someone is “bad”, but due to the condition that affects the way the way they think, feel and see the world, they can be “bad or tend to be considered dangerous” because they see people as disposable tools or pawns more often than not.
The young girl is a monster, but she is a created monster and that fact is not ignored at all. The writer isn’t “blaming” her for her harsh deeds, it’s just “x” happened and “y” happened. In this case, the actions of those around her are bad and so are many of her actions are too. That’s fact. Innocent people suffer because of her actions too.
This story serves to shed light on her thought process and watching through the things that happened to her and the things she happened to. You can see how she uses other people like chess pieces to achieve her aims without getting her hands dirty. So yes, she’s no good, but the show doesn’t ignore that she became so harsh due to her situation growing up.

I really, really loved 99 % of this but the thing he did that got him sentenced to prison was so underwhelming.…
You’re right that it’s crazy, but at that point, I think he felt that his life wasn’t very much worth living anyway. So many things were going very wrong, I think he was trying to be self destructive (at the very least), and sort of wanted to punish himself. Almost like, since this building is burning I might as well topple it anyway. It was rash and unnecessary, but the character had always been a pretty extreme person so I didn’t think it totally unbelievable

That’s an interesting perspective on how he told her about their physical contact. I guess it was important that she knew she came to him first, and his light tone kept it from seeming overly serious in a way that would make her worry. That’s a point that I hadn’t noticed before. However, I do think he was trying to make her shy with embarrassment

Hard agree. The preachiness was unbearable

Got nothing to watch lately, so I decided to check out this drama because of the hype. Gotta say, the only things…
The flashbacks were severely overdone toward the ending. So many we had seen multiple times.
They had never really faced their anxieties or healed from being hurt when they were little so their communication gap remained until they faced it

Title Lost Spoiler
I watched this months ago now, but I occasionally remember the scene from the camping trip when he pulled her towards him. That scene is so good. The lighting, angle, tension, and acting are all so perfect in that scene. I just randomly remember it and think, "damn, the chemistry was crazy", but I'm even more impressed that the director was able to capture it so well. It always felt like two souls were sitting in the same room, instead of people. I conjecture that it's the result of directing with a clear vision (along with sufficient skill and taste) and a complete understanding of the director's idea on the actors' parts.
