I know some people complain about yet another body swap historical, but I honestly love seeing the main actors completely shift their demeanor, speech, and daily habits to become the other person. It’s absolutely hilarious to watch, and they pull it off perfectly every time.

The emperor and empress are so weak, no one respects them; anyone can come barging in and scream at both of them and get away with it. Even ones that live outside the palace can enter the harem quarters with ease. Yet on the other hand, a dozen advisors get killed because the fifth princess played up.

It’s astounding how many women convince themselves they have a chance to marry the general, despite lacking charm and acting like a pack of crybabies. And why on earth does an empress’s maid believe she has the right to be his wife? Meanwhile, Niao Niao is incredibly irritating and meddlesome, with those little beady eyes that just get under your skin. On top of that, she somehow has the rare ability to lecture the emperor, his ministers, and the princes and princesses with ease, all while being only the fiancée of a general. She entered the palace to learn etiquette and seems to be now an investigator lol

The main lead is the most handsome Chinese actor, and the way he uses his eyes when adoring the female lead is absolutely mesmerising, as if the galaxy is in them.

Episode 10, when the crown princess’s adoptive father discovers she’s actually the crown princess, was absolutely priceless and hilarious.

Episode 10 and wow, why did the prince have to kneel to the Left Minister just to save the Minister’s own daughter? This has to be the weakest royal family ever. Even the court lady had the nerve to block the queen dowager from entering Bissini’s room, and they all talk back to the royal family without hesitation and fear.

I love historicals, but it annoys me when they depict a weak king who allows a single minister to rule the entire kingdom.

The main leads did very well at acting each other's mannerisms and habits. It was so funny.

She really treats them with the upmost contempt like they both owe her.
